Song Renzong advocated "human desire". He believes that the royal family and government officials should not covet this kind of enjoyment, but ordinary people should have their own entertainment activities, because this is itself a manifestation of "national peace and security." During the reign of Song Renzong, there was a fire one year, and officials wrote to cancel the Lantern Festival, but Injong did not agree. Renzong thought it was a good day for entertainment, and he was willing to have fun with the people. However, after Zhu Yuanzhang came to power, he was extremely opposed to this kind of "washe Goulan". He believes that not only royal officials can't have this kind of entertainment, but even ordinary people shouldn't have it. Moreover, after years of war, these "Washe Goulan" have basically disappeared. This kind of entertainment place, if the government does not come forward to build it, is probably impossible to form, especially if the rulers oppose it, and there is nowhere to form it.

Zhu Yuanzhang believed that any kind of debauchery was unprofessional, and he advocated "restraining human desires". To this end, Zhu Yuanzhang once cut off the tongues of soldiers who studied drama. Finally, if there are still some performing groups that need to perform, they can only go to the temple to avoid being too conspicuous.
