Why does historian Wong Young-tsu think that the Annales School should actually be translated into "Anna School"?
Not worthy of the name. Wong Young-tsu, a historian at Shandong University's Center for Co-construction and Collaborative Innovation of Confucian Civilization, believes that the historiography led by Braudel has been translated into "Chronology School" and can only be transliterated as "Anna School". "Anna School" advocates that social science rules history and emphasizes the historicization of social science, which is more in line with the historiography led by Braudel.
