As the largest panic attack in history, which country lost the battle of Changping?
The battle of Changping was a war between Qin and Zhao armies in Changping (now northwest of Gaoping City, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province). The battle of Changping took place from May 260 BC to June 10 BC.

Qin and Zhao fought a large-scale war over joining the Party. It took three years from the time when Qin sent troops to cede South Korea to Shangdang to the time when Qin won. The battle of Changping lasted only five months, and finally the Zhao army was defeated. Qin won and occupied Changping. In this campaign, Zhao Jun was beheaded and killed about 450,000 people.

This battle is a strategic decisive battle between Qin and Zhao. Qin's winning streak in several wars caused heavy losses to Zhao, and the battlefield situation was extremely unfavorable to Zhao. The prince of Zhao was defeated in succession because of the war, so he made peace with Qin and was not beaten. In addition, Lian Po's insistence on not fighting humiliated Zhao. Seeing that Zhao was determined not to fight, Qin sent spies to spread rumors of Lian Po's surrender, and threatened that Qin was not afraid of Lian Po, but of Zhao Kuo, the son of Zhao She (who had defeated Qin). So the prince of Zhao did not listen to Yuqing and Lin Xiangru's advice and insisted on replacing Lian Po with Zhao Kuo; According to Wang Zhao's intention, Zhao Kuo changed Lian Po's defensive deployment and pursuit mode, replaced generals and organized attacks. Qin secretly appointed general Bai Qi as commander in chief. In view of Zhao Kuo's eagerness to win, Leitian adopted the operational policy of pretending to be defeated and retreating, luring the enemy out, and then divide and rule, cut off the route for providing foodstuff for Zhao and annihilated it, and finally won the war.

The Battle of Zhao was greatly weakened, which accelerated the process of Qin's unification of China. The battle of Changping was the last turning point in the history of the Warring States, so it was only a matter of time before Qin was unified (see Historical Stages of the Warring States). This war is the earliest, largest and most thorough large-scale annihilation war in China's ancient military history.

On July 5, 2020, a skeleton pit suspected of the battle of Changping was discovered in Gaoping, Shanxi.
