brief introduction

Liuyuan is a large-scale classical private garden in China, covering an area of 23,300 square meters, representing the style of Qing Dynasty. This garden is famous for its exquisite architectural art, magnificent hall and various courtyards. Taihu Stone is the peak of the clouds, which has the interest of "the mountains don't leave the city walls". Its architectural space is exquisitely handled, and the gardeners use various artistic techniques to form a rhythmic garden space system, which has become a world-famous model for the artistic treatment of architectural space. Now the garden is divided into four parts, the building in the east, the landscape garden in the middle, the rockery in the west and the pastoral scenery in the north.

Introduction to staying in the park

Liuyuan Garden, together with Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, Summer Palace in Beijing and chengde mountain resort, is called the four famous gardens in China. Gardens and pavilions, grotesque galleries, full of green and crystal-clear pools make the scenery more beautiful step by step. Here, you can experience a bland atmosphere between the scenery and the garden.

Lingering Garden was built in the 21st year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1593), and it is the private garden of Xu Taishi, the "Shao Qing of Taibu Temple". It was called "East Garden" at that time. During the Qianlong period, it was acquired by Liu Shu. After the expansion, it was renamed as "Hanbi Villa" and named "Liuyuan". In the early years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, Kang Sheng, an official gentleman, bought this garden and renamed it "Lingering Garden".

The garden is divided into four parts. In a garden, you can enjoy four different landscapes: scenery, countryside, mountains and gardens. The central part is famous for its waterscape (small pond), including Keting, Cuiyuan Pavilion and Quxilou. Distributed around the small pond; Qu Yuan's cloister buildings in the east won, including the Sunshine Pavilion, the pavilion in Linquan, the pavilion in Guanyun Building and so on. Known as the "Three Treasures in the Garden", Yundingfeng (Taihu Stone), Nanmu Temple and fish fossils are all in the east.

Yunfeng, with its slender shape, combines the four wonders of Taihu Stone: "thin, wrinkled, leaky and transparent", which is said to be the remains of flowering stone in the late Northern Song Dynasty. Nanmutang is located in Wu Fengxian Mountain Pavilion. The pillars in the hall were made of nanmu, but they were damaged in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Later nanmu pillars were plastered with cement and painted outside. Fish fossils are marble with a diameter of about one meter, which is produced in Diancang Mountain, Yunnan Province. The surface texture is like a landscape painting.

The north and west of Liuyuan are relatively open. There are pastoral scenery and new bonsai gardens in the north; The west area is the highest point in the whole park, with wild fun and rockery. The Hanbi Mountain House and the famous colorful building in the south of the pond are the main ornamental buildings in the park.

This park is not very big. You can walk around the park along the 700-meter-long arc corridor and the path in the park. There are also guide maps and billboards in the park. There is a two-story teahouse next to Yunfeng. Downstairs, the price is cheap, 5 yuan is about/cup, upstairs is a private room, a cup of coffee table 10 yuan.
