Catfish and Ling Bo fish are both freshwater fish, but their spines are different in number and distribution. Catfish usually have only one main thorn, but Lingbo fish have more dense thorns.
This is mainly because their living habits and evolutionary history are different. Catfish usually live in clean waters, and have strong mobility and need to keep balance, so there is only one main thorn. On the other hand, Ling Bo fish live in muddy water. In order to better adapt to the environment, they have evolved more thorns to protect themselves.
