History of China Standardization Association
China Standardization Association is the only standardization professional association in China. Accepting the leadership of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the professional guidance of the National Standardization Administration Committee, it is an important member of the China Association for Science and Technology. Since its establishment more than 20 years ago, it has provided the society with services such as standard revision, standardization academic research, international exchange and consultation, and has long-term exchanges and cooperation with standardization organizations in developed countries such as American Standardization Association (ANSI), German Standardization Association (DIN) and Japanese Standardization Society (JSA).

The daily office of the China Standards Association is the secretariat. The Secretariat consists of administrative office (including personnel department), technology development department, sample work department, education and training department and other departments.

After China's entry into the World Trade Organization, enterprises are facing more intense market competition. Although the existing national standards and industry standards meet the basic needs of production, inspection and trade, the advantages of product quality and service quality of leading enterprises in various professions are not reflected by standards. In order to cooperate with the revision of People's Republic of China (PRC) Standardization Law, reflect the leading advantages of leading enterprises in quality, technology, performance and service, give full play to the role of high-level technical standards, and promote the competitive advantages of enterprises and products in the market. With the consent of relevant departments, China Standardization Association has specially formulated the standards of China Standardization Association (CAS standards for short) to provide personalized services for leading enterprises in various professional fields to meet their special needs.

China Standardization Association was founded in 1978. After more than 20 years of development, it has now formed a comprehensive social group with a certain scale, and its business involves standardized academic research, standard system revision, publicity and training, technical exchange, editing and publishing, online website, consulting service, international exchange and cooperation, etc. We have established friendly cooperative relations with many international, regional or national standardization organizations and carried out technical exchange activities, which have a wide influence in the world. 199965438+In February, the China Standardization Association produced the fifth Council, which was composed of officials, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from government departments, industries, localities and enterprises. Among them, the directors of relevant departments in the State Council account for 17%, and the directors of industry experts account for 1 1%. The composition of the new Council of China Standards Association adapts to the development of market economy and meets the needs of standardization reform and sustainable development.

China Standardization Association has more than 30,000 individual members and more than 400 group members. There are six branches of professional standardization. Local standardization associations have been established in 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
