When 1978 was founded, the name of the college was Zhelimu League Medical College ([78] Jing Jiao ZiNo. 1427). At that time, Zhelimu League was under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province. Zhelimu League Medical College is divided into undergraduate department and transition department. The undergraduate department has two undergraduate majors: Mongolian medicine and clinical medicine. 1979, the Jilin Provincial Department of Education renamed Zhelimu Medical College as Zhelimu Medical College (Zi [79] No.43). 1979 enrolls the first undergraduate students majoring in Mongolian medicine and clinical medicine. 1984 technical secondary school was separated and the original organizational system of Zhelimu League Health School was restored.
1979 After Zhelimu League returned to the jurisdiction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the autumn, 1980+00, the Inner Mongolia government moved the Inner Mongolia Medical College for Nationalities from Hohhot to Tongliao, and Zhelimu Medical College merged to form Inner Mongolia Medical College for Nationalities, renamed it Inner Mongolia Medical College for Nationalities, and established a school-running policy with Mongolian medical education as the theme. February 7th 1987 was changed to Inner Mongolia Mongolian Medical College (Internal Affairs Development No.6 [1987]), and the inaugural meeting was held on April 20th of the same year. Vice President Ulanhu wrote an inscription for Inner Mongolia Mongolian Medical College: "Inheriting and Carrying Forward the Excellent Heritage of Mongolian Medicine", and former Minister of Health Cui Yueli wrote the name of the school: "Inner Mongolia Mongolian Medical College".
Tongliao area is located in the east of Inner Mongolia, and the absolute number of Mongolian population ranks first among the cities in the autonomous region, accounting for 1/3 of the Mongolian population in the whole region and 1/4 of the Mongolian population in the whole country. At that time, the location of Tongliao Medical College for Nationalities was the main consideration of the regional balance and ethnic distribution of education by the autonomous region government.
The College established Mongolian Medicine Department 198 1 and Mongolian Medicine Department 1987.
1985, the college began to organize the compilation of the first edition of the national higher education textbook for Mongolian medicine, and published 23 books. By the end of 1993, all the textbooks have been put into use, and six of them have won awards from the autonomous region and the state. This work fills the gap that there is no formal teaching material in Mongolian medical higher education.
Mongolian medicine was awarded 1985 as the key supporting major of the autonomous region, and Mongolian medicine was awarded 1987 as the key discipline of the autonomous region.
1988 enrolled the first Mongolian medicine professional college class.
1995 added Mongolian medicine orthopedics specialty.
From July 65438 to June 2000, three universities in Tongliao merged to form Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities, and from June 65438+10/October 65438+April, Mongolian College of Medicine and Pharmacy was established.
