Zhongmou county is a county under the jurisdiction of Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, and a part of the new town in the east of Zhengzhou. It has a history of more than 2200 years since the county was established in the early Western Han Dynasty. It is the place where the earliest slave uprising and Guandu War took place, and it is also the hometown of historical celebrities such as handsome man Pan An and national hero Shi Kefa.

Historical evolution:

Zhongmou, formerly known as Putian and Mouzhou, has a history of 2,200 years since it was founded in the early Western Han Dynasty.

In the 12th year of Emperor Gaozu's reign (195), it was called the Houguo of Zhongmou, and in the 5th year of Ding Yuan (1 12), it became a county again.

In the first year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (58 1), it was renamed Neimou, and in the eighteenth year, it was renamed Putian.

In the third year of Tang Wude (620), Mouzhou was established, and in the fourth year of Tang Wude, Mouzhou was still a county.

Since then, although the administrative subordination has changed a lot, the county name has not changed so far, and most administrative offices are within the jurisdiction of today's county.

After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), Zhongmou was subordinate to Chenliu District, Zhengzhou District and Kaifeng District, and was placed under the jurisdiction of Zhengzhou City in July 1983.
