(1) Yin Wang Chengxian said it was the most popular one in Fengdu. Legend has it that in the Han Dynasty, there were two alchemists, one was Yin Changsheng, who was the great-grandfather of Queen Liu Zhao. One is Wang and the official in the middle is a doctor. Dissatisfied with the current social situation, both of them came to Fengdu to practice and died in the early years of Wei Qinglong. Later, in the Tang Dynasty, the two of them were misinformed as "the king of Yin", that is, the king of the underworld.

(2) On the Ghost Emperor (Tubo). In the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Fengdu was once the capital of Bazi. With the continuous communication between the two ethnic groups in Bashu, politics, economy, culture, ideas and customs have infiltrated each other, resulting in a common religious god-Tubo, which is the first generation of ghost emperor of Bashu ghost family. The ghost emperor lived in Youdu, and Fengdu still has the ruins of Youdu.

(3) The theory of "Yan Luowang" in Buddhism. "Yan Luowang" is a Sanskrit transliteration, originally the king of the underworld in ancient Indian mythology. Buddhism follows this statement and is called the devil who manages hell. Legend has it that he has eighteen judges in charge of eighteen hell. According to all classics, sounds and meanings, "Yan Luowang" is an "equal king" and he can be punished equally.

(4) Taoism. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Daoling founded the "Five Menfan" religion, which absorbed a lot of witchcraft and became the later "ghost religion". In A.D. 198, his grandson Zhang Lu established the Taoist "Pingdu Rule" in Fengdu, which became the missionary center of Taoism. Later, Taoism also called it "Luofeng Mountain", saying that it was the ghost capital under the rule of Emperor Beiyin, who was the seventh central god of Taoism and specialized in hell. Li Daoyuan, a geographer in the Northern Wei Dynasty, said that Fengdu ranked 45th among the 72 blessed places in Taoism.

(5) Rendering of later generations. Later, the ruling classes in the past dynasties continued to deliberately exaggerate, and the literati in the past dynasties described it through novels, poems, travel notes, inscriptions and other forms, such as The Journey to the West's Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio, Yue Zhuan and The Journey to the West. Therefore, a relatively comprehensive ghost town has been formed in Fengdu.

2. Fengdu Ghost Town

Fengdu, a famous cultural city since ancient times, is the most distinctive and famous historical and cultural town in China. It is famous as a ghost town, as a rich ghost culture where the underworld is located.

Fengdu ghost town is located in the southeast edge of Sichuan basin and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is the hometown of Qi Li. This is an ancient city surrounded by mountains and rivers. Known as "Bazi Biedu" in the Spring and Autumn Period, it was the earliest tourist attraction to visit the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River from Chongqing. It has a history of nearly 2000 years. The ghost town of Fengdu is also called "Tour Capital", "Ghost Country Kyoto" and "Hometown of Divine Comedy in China". Ghost towns are famous for their various buildings and shapes in the underworld.
