A brief history of Indian Buddhism

The textual research and calculation of the historical age of India is based on the accession of Asoka (27 1 ~ 268 BC), and the Buddhist age is based on Asoka and Youshi (27 1 century BC), which is recorded earlier and reliable. After the demise of Buddhism, Ashoka unified China and India in 1 16.

The development history of Indian Buddhism can be divided into eight stages:

6. Late Buddhism and Mahayana Bodhisattva Road in the Middle Period (600 ~ 1000 years after the extinction of Buddhism; AD 2 13~6 13)

The development history of Ceylon Buddhism can be divided into seven stages:
