Evolution of organizational system in Dongyang
Dongyang has a long history. 1800 years ago, in the second year of Xingping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (A.D. 195), a county system was established, named Ning Wu, which was subordinate to Huiji County. Dongyang County was founded in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (AD 688) and is called "Wu County". 1May, 988, with the approval of the State Council, Dongyang withdrew from the county and set up a city.

During the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC-476 BC), wuyue fought for hegemony and belonged to Yue State.

During the Warring States Period (475 BC-222 BC), the State of Chu conquered Yue and belonged to the State of Chu.

During the Qin Dynasty (22 1-207), the county system was implemented, and Dongyang was a part of Zhuji and Wu Shang counties, which belonged to Huiji County.

In the Western Han Dynasty, the county and the country were in parallel, and successively belonged to Liu Jiajing State, Liu State, Huiji County and Yangzhou secretariat Huiji County.

In the second year of Xingping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 195), the county system was established, which means "Dining in Wu 'an" and was named Ning Wu, belonging to Huiji County. This is the beginning of the establishment of Dongyang County.

During the Three Kingdoms period, the county belonged to Huiji County, Yangzhou, Wu.

In the first year of Wubaoding (266), Dongyang County was located in the west of Huiji County and governed Changshan County (now Jinhua). Wuning County belongs to Dongyang County. Dongyang county is named after "being in the sun and being in the east of water".

Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties, the fourth year of Tang Wude (62 1), the county ruled the state, Huiji County was changed to Yuezhou, and Dongyang County was Wuzhou.

In the second year of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (AD 688), according to analysis, Yiwu (formerly Wu Shang County) went east to the former site of Wuning County, attacked the old county name and built Dongyang County. At that time, it was called "Wang xian county".

In the Five Dynasties, Qian changed Dongyang County to Dongchang County.

Dongchang County, the capital of the Song Dynasty, was Dongyang County, and Taoism ruled in parallel.

In the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang changed Wuzhou Road to Ningyue Road and later to Jinhua House.

In the Qing Dynasty, Dongyang County still belonged to Jinhua Prefecture.

During the Republic of China, there were administrative supervision areas between counties in Zhejiang Province, which were divided into different administrative supervision areas many times before and after.

1949, Dongyang was liberated.

After liberation, Dongyang was under the jurisdiction of Jinhua District (later Jinhua City), and Pan 'an County was successively assigned to 1958.

1983, Pan 'an County was zoned Dongyang again, and the county governance changed accordingly.

1On May 25th, 988, Dongyang withdrew its county and set up a city.
