First of all, the prediction that "Liu Xiu is the son of heaven" seems to be an act of God.
The prophecy of "Liu Xiu is the emperor" is different from the prophecy of "Wang Mang usurping the Han Dynasty", and has always been regarded as a prophecy deliberately spread by Wang Mang himself. Because Wang Mang has the support of others, some people think that Wang Mang's prophecy of usurping the Han Dynasty was made up by people who supported Wang Mang, so that everyone could accept Wang Mang as emperor and at the same time Wang Mang could be emperor properly.
But Liu Xiu is the son of heaven, but this prediction is different. Because this prophecy appeared in Liu Xiu's childhood, and later it finally came true, it is said that this prophecy is very mysterious, and everyone thinks it is an act of God.
Second, there are two versions of the source of this prophecy.
There are two versions of the origin of this idiom. One is that Cai Shaogong often told others that "Liu Xiu should be the son of heaven". Another way of saying it is from the book "Hong Fu Nv", which reads: "Liu Xiu sent his troops and couldn't catch up with the road. In April and July, there was a wild fight, and fire was the main thing."
The meaning of this sentence gives people unlimited speculation. Did Liu Xiu really come down from heaven? This is very interesting. If this is really providence, then it is natural for Liu Xiu to be emperor. But in fact, there are clues that this is actually artificial.
But in fact, this prediction is likely to come from Liu Xin who helped Wang Mang usurp the Han Dynasty. After Liu Xin helped Wang Mang usurp the Han Dynasty, he tried to take his place. As a result, Wang Mang killed him. This prediction was probably deliberately released by Liu Xin, in order to create a public opinion orientation that he naturally became emperor.
