1938 city after Japanese bombing
Every old photo is a visible history. Today, this is a group of historical memories of Xuancheng, Anhui.

Xuancheng is located in the southeast of Anhui province, on the west waist line of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hangzhou triangle. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, because it was close to the then capital, Nanjing was actually a relatively developed place, and its industry and commerce developed very well. Of course, in such a prosperous city, the Japanese aggressors will not let go easily.

According to historical records, as early as August 1937, the Japanese aggressors launched fighter planes to bomb Xuancheng. Such bombing continued until the Japanese aggressors were defeated and surrendered. The scene was terrible and shocking, which not only caused great losses to Xuancheng people in material life, but also caused great harm to their spirit and soul, and the loss of material property was even more incalculable.

This set of photos is Xuancheng in the war more than 80 years ago-

On February 8th, 1938, soldiers of Hasegawa troops of Japanese invaders patrolled a piece of wall debris in Wan Zhi town, west of Xuancheng, Anhui. Even so, more than 80 years later, we can still see from this photo that the Bay Town was quite prosperous at that time, and the whole street was cut with blue bricks. But at this moment, there are no villagers except a group of heavily armed beast soldiers. Of course, even if someone did, it is estimated that they were all killed by these soldiers.

February 9, 1938, Xuancheng, Anhui, barbed wire used by the China army to defend the Japanese army. The war is still going on, but the position of the anti-Japanese army has gradually fallen, because such barbed wire can't stop the enemy's attack.

February 1938, 10, in Tuanshan town, west of Xuancheng, Anhui Province, the artillery of Japanese army Fujimura was shooting at the anti-Japanese army position. The virtual shadow in front of the photo is the rifle "Sanba Gai" of Japanese invaders. Although this gun looks a little old-fashioned, it has long range, high precision, simple manufacture and is better at hand-to-hand combat, so it is the main weapon of Japanese Lu Haijun during the Anti-Japanese War. Because this gun was used by the Japanese invaders when they invaded China, China people are no strangers to it.

1938 February 1 1, Longshou Tower in Xuancheng, Anhui Province, in front of which is the position of China Army. The brief calm is because it is brewing a more cruel battle. The leading pagoda in the picture was built in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of 700-800 years. In War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it witnessed the whole history of Japanese aggression against Xuancheng. Since 1937, the surrounding buildings have been devastated, but the leading pagoda still stands!

1938 February 12, Xuancheng, Anhui Province, swept back the Japanese Hasegawa troops invading China. Judging from the pictures, it is estimated that there are hundreds of Japanese invaders.

1938 The north gate of Xuancheng was devastated. Japanese soldiers walked at the gate and looked into the street through the gate, as if it had become a dead city.
