Wuqiao county is located in the southeast of Cangzhou, at the junction of two provinces (Hebei, Shandong) and three cities (Cangzhou, Hengshui and Dezhou), with Dezhou in the south, Dongguang in the north, Ningjin in the east and Jingxian (Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal) across the river in the west. Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Beijing-Fuzhou Highway and beijing-shanghai railway pass through the territory, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation.

Wuqiao county has built the first batch of provincial-level economic development zones, with an overall planning area of 40 square kilometers.
