What is dental implant?
Dental implant refers to a method of repairing missing teeth by supporting and clamping the upper dental prosthesis on the basis of implanting the lower structure of bone tissue. It consists of two parts: lower tooth implant and upper tooth restoration (implant support). It uses artificial materials (such as metals, ceramics, etc.). ) make implants (generally similar to the shape of root), implant tissues (usually maxilla and mandible) through surgery and obtain firm retention support from bone tissues, and connect and support upper tooth restorations through special devices and methods.

The process of tooth implantation

1, oral test. Extraction of teeth that cannot be preserved by dental implant surgery and periodontal treatment. And the doctor will treat the adjacent diseased root canal. Before dental implant surgery, doctors will do a pre-implant surgery, including: soft tissue plasty, alveolar bone plasty, alveolar bone augmentation, maxillary sinus lifting and other operations that cannot be performed at the same time as implant implantation.

2. Make dental implant operation guide plate. A manufacturing method of dental implant surgery guide plate with incomplete teeth is divided into 10 schemes, such as CT data acquisition, bone three-dimensional model reconstruction, implant design according to patient's bone condition, and determination of simulated cylinder of implant receiving cavity according to implant position design.

3. Prepare the planting nest. According to the pre-designed template, the appropriate length of implants and corresponding series of drills were selected according to the bone mass of alveolar bone, and the dental implant machine was used to drill quickly, and a large amount of physiological saline was used to rinse. First locate the hole with a round drill, then gradually enlarge the hole with a split drill and a navigation drill, and then enlarge the upper opening to wash the wound.

4. Prepare the thread. Instead, drill slowly, rinse with plenty of normal saline to cool down, and prepare the thread on the bone wall of the implant receiving cavity with a tap.

5. implant. Slowly implant the implant into the prepared implant socket, and carefully tighten it with special tools to make the upper edge of the implant flush with the bone surface.

6. suture the wound. So that the wound can heal as soon as possible and the implant and alveolar bone can be well fused.

7. wear a crown. After the implant nail and alveolar bone are closely healed and the porcelain crown is installed, the whole process of dental implant surgery is completed.
