Brief introduction of Shui Sheng Temple
Shui Sheng Temple was founded in the period of Xian Tong in the Tang Dynasty (about 1300 years ago), that is, 860-870 AD. Xingci Temple was first named in Song Dynasty. Later, the spring water flowed out from the mountain behind the temple, which did not dry up all the year round and is still full of spring water. Pure water, sweet and refreshing, was regarded as a spiritual spring, so it was renamed "Shui Sheng Temple". Shui Sheng Temple, one of the eight jungles in Sichuan, is known as "the first Zen forest in Zhongchuan". Because of its unique geographical location, long history and numerous places of interest, Shui Sheng Temple is very suitable for practicing Buddhism. There have been great virtues such as Zhang Xue, Mo Ye, Zhuo Ke, Master Qing De and Master Guo Ren, and it enjoys a high status in Sichuan Buddhism.
