All the above statements are true. Times have changed, and now Nanyang is also famous at home and abroad for another industry, that is jade.
Dushan jade, one of the four famous jade in China, is also called Nanyang dushan jade because it is produced in Nanyang. Dushan jade is an ancient jade in China with a long history of development. Its appearance makes jadeite stronger. Dushan jade is tough, dense, delicate and soft, with various colors, including 77 colors such as moist, green, blue, yellow, purple, red and white. It is an important jade raw material for arts and crafts carving and has become a famous specialty in Nanyang. The jade carving industry in Nanyang has also flourished. As the "hometown of jade carving", there has been a saying in Nanyang since ancient times that "there are thousands of households with firewood and flying, and jade rocks are carved with cinnabar" and "there are ten jade craftsmen and nine Nanyang people".
Zhang Heng, a famous scientist in the Eastern Han Dynasty, described Duyu in Du Nan Fu as follows: "Duyu is a rare treasure, and happy ever after is bejeweled ..." A piece of "Dushan Jade Sea" was stored in Tuancheng, Beihai Park, Beijing, and was awarded by Kublai Khan to the Three Military Forces in Yuan Di. It is the earliest and largest giant jade carving in the history of China, and its raw material is Duyu. In other words, "Return to Zhao in perfect condition" and "Bi" belong to unique jade. According to historical records, Heshibi is white jade, while Duyu has a kind called "Toubai", which is extremely precious.
Li Daoyuan in the Northern Wei Dynasty wrote in Notes on Water Classics: "There are Yushan in Nanyang, and Jasper comes from the mountain." Tao Hongjing in the Southern Dynasties said, "Good jade, out of Nanyang in Lantian." Dushan jade is colorful, moist and delicate, which is unmatched by other jade. Although the color of agate is good, the texture is too transparent to be polished-it is too transparent and light, and only when polished can it be subtle. Apart from agate, there is no other jade in the world as colorful as dushan jade. In this respect, Du Yu is a real beauty in the world.

At the same time, the jade carvings in Shifo Temple have developed from traditional figures, flowers, stoves, birds and animals 100 to nearly 1000 kinds of landscapes, jewels, health care, tea sets and wine sets. Nanyang jade not only has many varieties, but also has exquisite craftsmanship. It can be used as a hall decoration and as small as Yu Pei sculpture.
