Baohe District, belonging to Hefei City, Anhui Province, is located in the southeast of Hefei City and on the north bank of Chaohu Lake. It is one of the central urban areas of Hefei. Located in the hilly region of Jianghuai, the terrain is flat, high in the north and low in the south, and it has a subtropical monsoon humid climate with four distinct seasons and mild climate.

With a total area of 340 square kilometers (including 70 square kilometers of Chaohu Lake), it governs 1 1 street, 2 towns and 2 street-level communities, and has 1 provincial economic development zones. By the end of 20021,the permanent population of Baohe District was1235,000.

Baohe District, named after China's famous Baohe Scenic Area, is the core area of Hefei Binhu Science City, where the provincial administrative center, the lakeside factor market and other core resources are gathered, and it is home to the Anhui School Hall of Fame and the Du Jiang Campaign Memorial Hall.

It has historical and modern cultural business cards such as Bao Zheng Cemetery, Jiajie Street, Gong Jie Street, Luzhou Square, Chaihe 1972, and has gathered "one lake and ten rivers",120,000 mu of ecological wetland, 16.8 km of golden lake, 15.3 km of Luogang Central Park and Hehe.

More than 30 scientific research institutes, including China University of Science and Technology and Hefei University of Technology, have gathered in the area, with 5 academician workstations, 68 academicians and 32 national and provincial key laboratories.
