The development history of Beijing Urban Construction Far East Group condenses the reform process of state-owned enterprises in China. Its predecessor, Beijing No.3 Urban Construction Engineering Company, belongs to Beijing Urban Construction Group, and it was developed on the basis of the former China People's Liberation Army Infrastructure Corps 1983. The tradition of the army's courage to endure hardships and fight hard battles has been inherited and sublimated into the enterprise spirit of "quick response, immediate action, striving for first-class and pursuing Excellence". In 2000, in order to meet the requirements of market competition, the company successfully transformed state-owned enterprises into state-owned holding enterprises and established Beijing Urban Construction Third Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. In 2004, as one of the first batch of state-owned enterprises in Beijing, the company took the lead in completing the strategic adjustment of state-owned shares by MBO. The company was renamed Beijing Urban Construction Third Construction Development Co., Ltd. and was unveiled in the Great Hall of the People on June 18, 2004.

In August, 2007, in order to further meet the market demand, comprehensively improve marketing ability, and realize specialized operation and diversified development, the company was established as Beijing Urban Construction Third Construction Group Co., Ltd. Since then, the group company has continuously broadened its business ideas, enhanced its independent investment and financing capabilities, and gradually set foot in real estate development, investment management and other fields while doing specialized, refined and strong construction general contracting and professional contracting. On August 6, 2009, in order to further highlight and strengthen the group's investment and financing functions, the group company was officially renamed as "Beijing Urban Construction Far East Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd.".
