Symphonic chorus "Chaoyanggou"

The voice of Beijing premiere

"The cello is softer and the violin is more cheerful." On February 6, 65438, in the rehearsal hall of Henan Song and Dance Performing Arts Group, Wu Tao, a famous conductor in our province, was directing the musicians to rehearse. Wipe the sweat, he told reporters that it is an innovation of Henan Symphony Orchestra in artistic creation to interpret Chaoyanggou with symphony.

As the creator of the symphonic version of Chaoyanggou, Wu Tao said that the symphonic version of Chaoyanggou is the first time to integrate the two artistic forms of symphonic chorus and Henan Opera, which is a bold attempt by Henan Song and Dance Performing Arts Group to inherit and develop the traditional culture of the Central Plains.

Chaoyanggou, a Henan opera, is a household name and has deeply influenced several generations, so the symphonic version of Chaoyanggou bears too much expectation and pressure. It is these expectations and pressures that make the team led by Wu Tao sleepless. The creative team not only invited artists such as Guan Xia, head of the Chinese Symphony Orchestra, Liu Lin, a national first-class screenwriter and famous lyricist, and Jin Wei, a national first-class composer and conductor, to join us, but also many musicians voluntarily gave up overtime rehearsals on weekends and holidays. Wu Tao was so busy that he slept less than 6 hours a day. It is understood that the symphonic version of "Chaoyanggou" will be premiered in May 20 13 at the Beijing National Grand Theatre. Wu Tao said, now we are auditioning for the leading role. I believe that this symphony with Henan characteristics can stand the test of the people and history.

On the evening of May 27th, Chaoyanggou, a classic of modern Henan opera, which has been sung for half a century, appeared in the concert hall of Beijing National Grand Theatre with a new costume-the symphonic chorus version of Chaoyanggou. The performance was hosted by Henan Provincial Department of Culture, undertaken by Henan Song and Dance Performing Arts Group, and jointly performed by Henan Symphony Orchestra, Henan Opera Troupe and China Symphony Orchestra Choir. For the first time, the symphonic chorus version of Chaoyanggou combines the two artistic forms of symphonic chorus and Henan Opera, integrates and adapts the original classical aria and music fragments in the form of symphonic structure, presents an artistic form with a blend of Chinese and Western styles and a modern atmosphere, and also comprehensively and stereoscopically reshapes the spirit of Chaoyanggou in the new period.

After the performance, Wu Tao, the creative director of the symphony chorus Chaoyanggou, said excitedly that Mr. Wang Jixiao had created such a beautiful melody of Chaoyanggou. He and my father are the same generation and very good friends. He especially hoped that there would be a symphony version of Chaoyanggou in those years. Today, we finally realized his long-cherished wish. When I was studying in Germany, this symphony gave me a great shock. The combination of Henan Opera and Symphony first faces a big problem, which is to handle the relationship between inheritance and innovation. We can't do any harm to the adaptation of the play, we can only inherit and innovate. We need to handle it well and be full of awe. The success of the classic drama is because its own system has been recognized by the audience, but if it is changed into a symphony, it is necessary to make some changes and further improve it on the basis of respect. The concept of Chaoyanggou has been changed by western methods. After repeated polishing, the play finally appeared at the National Centre for the Performing Arts today. Many young people listen to the new version and say it suits their taste. It's very nice and foreign!

"Sing Jakarta, Blow out the Central Plains fever"

February11-18,2014, in the streets and lanes of Jakarta, in the urban and rural areas of Medan, in the major media in Indonesia and among countless Indonesian people, these words suddenly became hot, just like the local temperature. Many overseas Chinese in Indonesia rushed to Jakarta to catch Medan in order to visit relatives from their ancestral homes and listen to the modern symphony of Yanhuang's hometown of Henan. From Indonesian Speaker and Minister to ordinary people, they always give us thumbs up when they see us, one by one "Gaguxi" (Indonesian is good)-Gaguxi in China, Gaguxi in Henan, Gaguxi in Chaoyanggou and China culture.

So many "old stories" are due to the arrival of "Family China" and the large-scale symphony chorus "Chaoyanggou"! Wu Tao, the creator and famous conductor of the large-scale symphony chorus Chaoyanggou, is full of confidence in this work. He said that the form of symphony has inserted wings into Chaoyanggou, which is not only a "symphony of Henan" but also a "melody of the world". I believe it can bear the hearts of the people in the Central Plains and move towards the hearts of the people in the world.

This is a real symphony. Chaoyanggou, with its unique music and singing, is like a gust of wind stirring in the hearts of Indonesian audiences. Countless overseas Chinese and Indonesian friends, with their sincerity, echoed the symphonies from China and the Central Plains. For several days in a row, wherever the symphonic chorus Chaoyanggou went, there were more and more audiences, and the atmosphere became warmer every day. When the art troupe came to Medan, the holy city, the hall that could accommodate more than 3,000 people was already packed. Shao, Cultural Counselor of the China Embassy in Indonesia, said: "During the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse, you came to Jakarta with the symphonic chorus Chaoyanggou, which added a beautiful scenery to Family China and Happy Spring Festival, and set up a bridge of friendship between the Chinese and Indonesian peoples."

"I didn't expect the effect to be so good! If I knew this, I would invite more friends. " Pang Bang, chairman of Indonesian National Park and former commander of Indonesian army, said excitedly after watching the first performance of the symphony chorus Chaoyanggou.

Ye Dexin, assistant to the chairman of the Indonesian Datong Party, has been rushing for performances these days. Every time I watch a performance, the Indonesian Indian will sigh in slightly blunt Chinese: "I understand. Great performance! China culture is really great! "

Li Jianxiong, director of the Public Affairs Bureau of the Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, was deeply moved after watching the first performance: "Music has no borders, which is really a good way. You used the symphony with China characteristics to let us know China and remember Henan! "

/kloc-On the evening of February, 2004, Matt Pader, an American who taught in Indonesia, was deeply intoxicated by the cheerful melody and humorous lyrics of Chaoyanggou at the performance site of the Green Mountain. In the face of an interview with a reporter, he blinked in surprise and said, "It's amazing that you combine the elements of eastern and western music perfectly! I have never been to China, and I am not familiar with Henan. After watching the performance, I really want to go to China and Henan ... "

At the end of each performance, I can always hear such praise and admiration, which makes Wu Tao enjoy it very much. /kloc-On the evening of February, 0/6, after conducting the last piece of music, he took a long breath, as if to himself: "Ah, it's good to walk this time ..." "No, but it's loud to walk!" His companion corrected his words and everyone laughed together.

"Help Wenbo and infect Shenzhen"

"Walking a hurdle and climbing a mountain, the air in the ravine is really fresh ..." On the evening of May 14, the symphony chorus "Chaoyanggou", which was jointly performed by Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and Henan Opera Troupe for the first time, appeared in Shenzhen Grand Theatre, which kicked off the 10th China Shenzhen Cultural Fair Art Festival.

Many Shenzhen audiences are as familiar with Chaoyanggou as Central Plains audiences. Many older audiences at the performance site said that they especially liked the Henan opera Chaoyanggou when they were young. I didn't expect that now there is a symphony version, which is refreshing and the ancient Henan opera has new vitality. Some young viewers think that although they have never heard of the Henan opera Chaoyanggou, the symphonic chorus Chaoyanggou is very suitable for young people's tastes.

After the performance, Wu Tao, head of the Henan Symphony Orchestra and a famous conductor, was very excited. He said that although this performance was the first cooperation between the Henan Opera Troupe and the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the two art troupes cooperated very tacitly, showing the superb musical literacy of the musicians of the two troupes, and once again proving that the symphonic chorus "Chaoyanggou" is not only a "symphony of Henan", but also a "melody of the world". Chen, head of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, said that the artistic charm of the symphonic chorus Chaoyanggou transcends geographical boundaries. Using symphony, the universal symbol of musicians all over the world, to recreate localized works is a kind of promotion of traditional culture. Wu Tao revealed that the symphonic chorus "Chaoyanggou" will be performed in the United States in the near future, which will make China's local music works on a bigger stage.
