Historical Romance and the legend of heroes inherited the traditions of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin, describing history, praising heroes and adding the author's ideals. Almost all historical novels have legends from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to the Ming Dynasty, such as Biography of Guo, Romance of the Western Han Dynasty and Legacy of Sui Shu. The legend of heroes was written by Light Cavalry (also known as Clouds and Wonders), Legend of Yang Jiafu and Biography of Northern Song Dynasty.
