Why is EVA called classic?
A milestone in the history of Japanese animation is also recognized as one of the greatest animations in Japanese history.

EVA, whose full name is Gospel Warrior in the New Century, is an animation work jointly produced by two Japanese animation companies, Longzi Studio and GAINAX. The film uses revolutionary strong stream of consciousness techniques and a large number of religious and philosophical images, which has caused great repercussions and impacts in Japanese society and is called "social phenomenon". The evangelical warrior in the new century is a typical robot animation at first, and the story focuses on describing the battle scene and the dialogue between characters. As the plot goes on, the story gradually becomes a psychoanalytic narrative of the inner world of the characters, especially at the end.

Extended data:

In July 2009, in the "Selected Works of Japanese Media Art 100" held by the Japanese Culture Department, The Gospel Warrior of the New Century was voted as the most classic animation in history.

The second episode of the new theater series of evangelical warriors in the new century was shown in Japanese cinemas 120, and was enthusiastically sought after by EVA fans who had been expecting it for two years. It won the box office of 500 million yen at that time and was ranked in the weekly box office list.
