1937 10, in the late period of the Battle of Songhu, the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army of the Republic of China was ordered by Xie Jinyuan at a critical moment to lead more than 400 officers and men (800 officers and men were called "eight hundred heroes" for the sake of external prestige) to defend the four-row warehouse in Zhabei, Shanghai, which was also the last battle of the Battle of Songhu. Determined to die for the country, "eight hundred heroes" fought against the Japanese aggressors in a tiny place, fought fiercely for four days and nights, and repelled the enemy's crazy attacks for more than ten times.
