Emperor Wu of song is a civilian who joined the new army formed in the Eastern Jin Dynasty? North government army? He climbed to the top of the empire by meritorious military service, so his foundation is in the military field, not in the political elite circle controlled by the extended family. Therefore, Liu Yuyou challenged the strength of the gentry. He did a very important thing, rearranging the national household registration and forbidding the gentry to conceal the population. Only in this way can we ensure the financial and military strength of the government and crack down on the gentry. Emperor Wu of song also ordered the assessment of local recommended talents. If there is any falsehood, it will be strictly investigated to ensure the fairness of talent selection. More importantly, Emperor Wu of Song also stipulated that military commanders should be separated from soldiers.
