Once the owner, Boss Du, invited a guest. When the waiter served this braised large intestine, everyone was full of praise after tasting it. A scholar asked, "I don't know what a good name is for such a delicious thing?" Boss Du was glad that the guests liked the dish, but he didn't say its name either. So he said to the literati, "Would you please give this dish a name?" Scholars are overjoyed.
In order to cater to the owner's hobby of Jiuzhuan and praise the chef's skill, he named it Jiuzhuan large intestine and sat with him and asked where the dictionary was. He said that Taoism is good at alchemy and has the name of nine turns of elixir. If you eat this delicious dish for nine turns, it can rival the elixir. From then on, the braised large intestine was renamed Jiuzhuan large intestine.
