Moral of playing cards: K of spades is David, the father of King Solomon of Israel in the 10 century BC. The four seasons of the year, namely, spring, summer, autumn and winter, are represented by spades, hearts, diamonds and plum blossoms respectively. Among them, hearts and diamonds represent day, spades and clubs represent night. Portraits in playing cards are historical figures: the king in "K of Hearts" is Charlemagne, who established Charlemagne's empire, and he is also the only king without a beard in playing cards. The plum blossom Q symbolizes a story: the royal family in Lancaster, England is symbolized by red roses, and the royal family in York is symbolized by white roses. The J of spades and the J of diamonds are Hokkala and Roland, the attendants of Charles I, respectively.
