The development history of classical guitar

Guitar is one of the most popular musical instruments in the world. There are many kinds and genres: elegant classical guitar, passionate flamenco guitar, relaxed and chic folk guitar, modern electric guitar and tropical Hawaiian guitar. Among these types, classical guitar is the most artistic.

The history of classical guitar can be said to be longer than that of violin and piano. Please look at the chart of the development history of classical guitar (Figure 1). On the top are two plucked instruments dating from BC 1500 (figure1-kloc-0/) and BC 1400, that is, about 3500 years ago (figure 1-2). They were tools of the Persian dynasty. The third line (figure 1-3) is the plucked instruments of Greece at the beginning of the AD, that is, about 2,000 years ago. The next line is a plucked instrument in Rome in 400 AD (Figure 1-4). Further down is a plucked instrument called guitar in 1200, that is, 13 century. On the left is the Moore guitar (figure 1-5), and on the right is the Latin guitar (figure 1-6). The next line is the guitar of 1500, that is, the guitar of16th century. On the left is a majestic lyre (figure 1-7), and on the right are four groups of multi-string guitars at that time (figure 1-8). Further down is 1600, that is, five groups of multi-string guitars in 17 century (Figure 1-9). The next line is six sets of multi-string guitars from 1700 (figure 1- 10). The next line is 1750- 1800, that is,1six-string guitar popular from the middle of the 8th century to19th century (figure1-1). The following is a classical guitar made by Spanish guitarist Torres in 1880- 1900 (figure 1- 12). It can be said that Sorez guitar is the original prototype of modern classical guitar. At the bottom is a six-string classical guitar commonly used in modern times (figure 1- 13). The three groups of pictures on the far right are charts of the development history of another plucked instrument. At the top is an Ude piano dating from BC 1500 (Figure 1- 14). In the middle is another generation of Udchin in the early AD (figure 1- 15). At the bottom is the lute (also known as the lute), which was popular in Europe in the 6th century (figure1-16). It is rare to see it on the stage nowadays, but there are still some classical guitarists playing the lute. The most famous is Juriens Bourem of England. His concerts usually play the lute in the first half and the classical guitar in the second half. 1990 William Matthews, an American expert who visited China, was also a classical guitar and lute player.
