detailed description
Cardiogenic asthma is paroxysmal asthma caused by left heart failure and acute pulmonary edema, and its clinical manifestations can be similar to bronchial asthma. Cardiogenic asthma has a history of hypertension or heart disease in the past. Asthma is accompanied by frequent cough and frothy cough, especially blood phlegm, enlarged heart, arrhythmia and abnormal heart sound.
differentiate
The difference between cardiogenic asthma and pulmonary asthma can be distinguished from the following two points:
1, prone to attack at night: cardiogenic asthma attack, often manifested as sudden awakening to sleep due to suffocation at night and forced to sit up. Among them, those who are light often relieve themselves after sitting for a few minutes, and those who are heavy can have repeated attacks several times overnight. It is generally believed that this is because the vagal nerve tension increases at night, which makes the bronchial smooth muscle tension narrow the lumen, which is more likely to cause hypoxia or aggravate hypoxia.
2. Asthma can be relieved after sitting up: this is because the blood flowing back to the heart increases when lying down, which increases the burden on the heart. While sitting up, part of the blood in the upper body and lungs is transferred to the abdominal organs and lower limbs to reduce the blood flowing back to the heart and reduce the degree of pulmonary congestion. Generally, the sitting position can increase the vital capacity by 10% ~ 30% compared with the lying position.
Treatment measures
Cardiogenic asthma is a clinical emergency. Once diagnosed, we must actively rescue and treat, and the main measures are oxygen inhalation, cardiotonic diuresis, vasodilation, sedation and so on.
diagnostic criteria
1, repeated wheezing, dyspnea, chest tightness or cough are mostly related to contact with allergen virus infection or some irritants.
2. During the attack, both lungs can hear scattered or diffuse wheezing mainly in expiratory phase.
3. The above symptoms can be relieved by treatment or self.
4. Eliminate other diseases that may cause wheezing or dyspnea.
