Are Zhou Yu, Zhuge Liang and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms the same in history?
Little brother, of course not ... you should have a basic common sense that novels can be fictional, and novels contain many authors' subjective wishes. The official history is different from the official history. The author of the official history should have a strong sense of historical responsibility, that is, he should be responsible for his own narrative and understand that he is recording real things for future generations. In other words, the author of the novel can talk nonsense at will, but not the author of the official history. Reading novels is to get pleasure from reading fictional stories and further understand some profound truths, while reading official history is to know the truth. Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a novel, and the annals of the Three Kingdoms are official history. See the difference? Nowadays, it is very foolish for some people with confused minds to use novels to understand and define truth. The author of the Three Kingdoms is Chen Shou.

Reading novels requires a basic mode of thinking, that is, don't believe some plots in the book, such as Zhuge Liang's ability to predict the future, such as Zhou Yu's narrow-minded plot. Because it can be inferred logically that if Zhuge Liang really has this ability, then Shu should be the country that unifies the world. If Zhou Yu's temperament really reached this point, he would never be the viceroy of Wu. So what should we do? As I said just now, if you want to know the truth, you have to look at the official history.

The records about Zhuge Liang in the History of the Three Kingdoms Shu are more detailed. To sum up, he is a political superman, but he does not have military ability. All the battles commanded by Zhuge Liang in the early days of Romance of the Three Kingdoms were basically done by Liu Bei himself, and Battle of Red Cliffs was basically attributed to Zhou Yu, and did not borrow miracles such as the east wind. At the same time, he has no magical power to summon ghosts and call the wind and rain. In recent years, because many people questioned the myth of Zhuge Liang in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, they turned to belittle him, which is also wrong. Similarly, according to the Records of the Three Kingdoms Shu Wei, Zhuge Liang was often mentioned when Wei met with later Jin, the imperial court and ministers. Everyone's evaluation is very objective, basically summed up as two points: too much conquest of Wei, a waste of manpower and material resources; Superior political ability, one person ruling Sichuan. He was the only person who was so talked about by the enemy during the Three Kingdoms period, which shows that Zhuge Liang's fame and status at that time really surpassed other courtiers. Objectively speaking, Yu Xun, Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu were the most famous ministers in the Three Kingdoms period, which can be clearly felt from the records of the Three Kingdoms. Zhou Yu, on the other hand, is a leader with strong military ability and beloved personality. Regarding Zhou Yu's tolerance in dealing with people, Cheng Pu's evaluation was quoted in Zhou Yu Biography. "With Zhou Jin's bus friends, you won't get drunk when you drink." There is not a word in the official history that Zhou Yu has anything to do with Zhuge Liang, and there has never been any mention of the relationship between Zhou Yu's death and Zhuge Liang.

If you really want to know about history, my suggestion is to read the official history books in order from now on. That is, looking back from Shangshu and Zuozhuan. If you think these two books are a bit difficult, you can start with Historical Records, but you must also read the later History and Zuo Zhuan.

There is much debate about the authenticity of official history. My personal feeling is that there will be less truth in the future, but through your own eyes, you can see what is to beautify and brag to cater to the authorities and what is not. However, the early historical works are completely objective. Let me tell you a story. During the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a minister named Zhu in the State of Qi who killed Qi Zhuanggong. This kind of incident must be recorded, so the official wrote: "Cui Yi killed his king." Killing a monarch was a great evil in ancient times. Cui Yao was very angry, so he killed the master and asked his brother to rewrite it. As a result, his brother wrote, "Cui Yi killed his king." Cui Yao said, your brother has been killed by me. Be smart. His brother said I know, but I am a teacher, so I must write truthfully. Cui Yao killed him again, and then asked their younger brother to write. As a result, the third brother wrote, "Cui Yi killed his king." Cui Yao had no choice but to give up. This is the noble sentiment of our ancestors and ancients who would rather die than surrender. There are many such stories in Zuo Zhuan and Historical Records. But later, the folk customs became worse and worse, Taishi became more and more flattering to the contemporary era, and the credibility of historical materials became worse and worse. For example, we can imagine that the real situation will not exceed 10%. Therefore, the most important thing to look at the official history is to look at the general situation at that time, and then use your own judgment to appreciate and learn those noble examples, without worrying about irrelevant things such as the right time and the right name.

As an experienced person, I gave some suggestions. I hope you will read less novels and films, especially not seriously, and read more official history and authoritative annotations, so as to understand and love our real ancient culture.
