The strongest typhoon that affected Zhoushan in history was Meihua. Plum blossoms bring concentrated heavy rainfall and windy weather to the east of central and northern Zhejiang, especially to Ningbo, Zhoushan and Shaoxing. The wind power in some coastal areas of northern Zhejiang reaches 15 ~ 16. Yuyao, Xiangshan, Fenghua, Beilun, Dinghai and Shangyu 17 counties (cities, districts) and 196 towns (streets) experienced severe storms.

Typhoon 12 was generated on the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival (September 8th), entered the East China Sea at midnight on June 5438+02, landed in shenjiamen, Putuo District, Zhoushan at 20: 30 on June 5438+04, and then crossed Zhoushan Island and entered Hangzhou Bay at 0: 00 on June 5438+05. "Plum Blossom" has a serious impact on the wind and rain in central, northern and eastern Zhejiang.

The intensity of "Plum Blossom" weakened before and after entering the East China Sea, and increased again after entering the East China Sea. When the typhoon spiral cloud system affects the coastal area of our province, it is the upper limit of strong typhoon (increased to 48m/s at 10/4), and the intensity of landing is the strongest when our province landed in the north of Xiangshan Port in September since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Among the six typhoons that landed in Zhoushan, the intensity was the strongest, and the second strongest was Typhoon Fireworks, which landed in Zhoushan on July 25th.
