Chicken raising pictures in murals of Wei and Jin tombs in Jiayuguan
The mural of Tomb No.38 and No.3 is a picture of raising chickens: a rooster and four hens. Cocks hold their heads high, and hens follow with small steps, just like polygamy in the world. The rooster shows that he comes from a rich family and is proud of himself. The posture of the four hens is different from that of the rooster. Chickens completely imitate human living conditions. In this painting, the painter not only expresses the chicken's psychology, but also implicitly expresses his inner sense of injustice, which has very realistic historical significance.
