Toyotomi Hideyoshi attacked North Korea, and Nurhachi wanted to help North Korea on behalf of Daming. Why did North Korea refuse?
Toyotomi Hideyoshi was a very important figure in the Japanese Warring States Period. He was also known as Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Three heroes of the warring States period? . This man not only had a great influence on Japanese history, but also had deep roots with Korea and even China (Ming Dynasty) across the sea. When Toyotomi Hideyoshi was in charge of Japan, he launched two wars of aggression against Korea and even crossed the Yalu River and entered the territory of Daming.

At that time, Korea was a vassal state of the Ming Dynasty. When Japan invaded Korea, it was equivalent to invading Daming's territory. As a suzerain, the Ming court would not sit idly by, which led to the Wanli period. Anti-Japanese aid Korea? War. With the help of the Ming Dynasty, North Korea finally repelled the invading Japanese army and preserved its territorial integrity. There was no war between Japan and South Korea for hundreds of years, and it was not until the late Qing Dynasty that Japan invaded the Korean peninsula again.

When Toyotomi Hideyoshi attacked Korea, a hero was rising in the northeast of China, and he was Nurhachi. I believe everyone knows the importance of this man, because he is the actual pioneer of the Qing Dynasty.

Nurhachi was born in 1559, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi attacked Korea twice in 1592 and 1597 respectively. At that time, Nurhachi was in the prime of life, and it was also the time for him to make great achievements.

Interestingly, when Japan invaded Korea, Nurhachi volunteered to represent the Daming court against the Japanese invaders. As a result, the then reigning Emperor Wanli said nothing, and North Korea immediately refused. What happened?

Nuerhachi's Jianzhou Jurchen, one of the three major departments of the Northeast Jurchen, is under the jurisdiction of the Daming court.

Before clarifying this question, it is necessary to clarify another question, that is, why did Nurhachi volunteer to go to North Korea in the Ming Dynasty? Isn't Manchu hostile to the Ming Dynasty? In fact, in the era of Nuerhachi, there was no Manchu, only Nuzhen, and the Nuzhen tribe was not completely unified, but was divided into three parts, such as Nuerhachi's Jianzhou Nuzhen, one of them.

In addition, there are Hercynian Jurchen and Savage Jurchen. Although they are all Jurchen, they are independent of each other, just like the state of Mongolian ministries before Temujin unified the desert. But all three tribes surrendered to the Ming Dynasty, among which Nurhachi was named General Dragon and Tiger by the Ming Dynasty.

It was because of the relationship between the minister and his subordinates that Nurhachi volunteered to go to the Ming court. Once the emperor Wanli did not agree, he didn't even have a chance to go to war. Interestingly, however, history did not record whether Emperor Wanli agreed or not, but clearly recorded the opposition of Koreans. As for Nurhachi's support for North Korea, he failed to make it.

Why did the North Koreans flatly reject Nurhachi's kindness? What is the relationship between Jurchen and North Korea?

North Korea is being attacked by Japanese invaders. At this time, a neighbor offered support. It stands to reason that North Koreans should be fully welcomed, but why did they flatly refuse? This is not surprising, because North Korea and Nuzhen ministries have always lived next to each other. They know the bravery of jurchen, and they know how ambitious Nurhachi is.

Because of this, North Koreans would rather risk being completely defeated by Japan and spend more time waiting for the support of the Ming army than Nuerhachi leading troops nearby to help. North Koreans know very well that once Jurchen is allowed to enter North Korea, it will be a huge disaster for North Korea, even if the Japanese are really beaten away by strength. Because it is easier to ask God than to send him, accepting jurchen's assistance is tantamount to driving out wolves, which is obviously extremely uneconomical.

North Koreans are very vigilant about Jurchen, and they also saw Nurhachi's ambition early.

Because North Korea has close relations with various ministries of Jurchen, and there are many contacts at ordinary times, North Koreans know more about Jurchen than the Ming court, which is why they are highly wary of Jurchen, who is famous for his martial arts, and even more cautious about Nurhachi, a rising star of Jurchen. Moreover, the eyes of Koreans have also been verified by history. Soon after, Nuerhachi successfully annexed the ministries of Jurchen, and the post-Jin Dynasty began to rise and became the most serious border disaster in Daming. Decades later, under the leadership of Dourgen, the Qing Dynasty even invaded the Central Plains, and successfully consolidated the country and established the last feudal dynasty in China.

Of course, these are all after the event. I am afraid that the North Koreans who refused Nurhachi to enter the DPRK at that time may not have predicted it. But in any case, it is absolutely right for North Koreans to refuse the support of Jurchen. Otherwise, I'm afraid North Korea will become a Manchu territory as early as several decades ago.

If North Korea had not refused, who would have won and lost the battle between Nurhachi and Toyotomi Hideyoshi?

Although Nurhachi failed to make it in the end, we might as well imagine what would have happened if North Korea had not refused Nuzhen's support, or if Emperor Wanli personally ordered Nurhachi to go to North Korea. Who is better, Nurhachi or Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the two contemporary heroes of East Asia?

If we only consider the strength at that time, I am afraid that Nurhachi may not be able to benefit from the Japanese army, because Nurhachi was still very weak at that time, with only more than 10,000 troops at hand. Although Jurchen is particularly good at fighting, it is believed that the Japanese invaders have a population of 150,000, and one enemy is fifteen. Unless Nurhachi leads the heavenly generals, the Japanese invaders will not be defeated in any case.

Of course, the intervention of jurchen will definitely make the Japanese army suffer great setbacks. Coupled with the attack of North Korea and Daming, perhaps Japan's plan to attack North Korea will end earlier. However, even if this happens, we can't put all the credit on Nurhachi's head.

In a word, Nurhachi was a hero in the late Ming Dynasty. He really showed unusual courage when he volunteered to support North Korea. However, as the North Koreans thought, Nurhachi's move was actually for other purposes. Supporting North Korea is just a facade. I'm afraid his real intention is no different from that of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He just covets the territory of North Korea.
