The auditorium of National Central University is located in the center of Southeast University campus, on the same axis as the south gate. It was initiated by Zhang Naiyan, former president of Central University, on March 28th, 1928- 1930, but it was stopped due to financial difficulties.

1930 to 193 1, Zhu Jiahua (1930- 193 1 in office) was the president of the Central University. He used his position and influence in the national government to ask for funds from the national government in the name of convening a national conference.

After that, Professor Lu from the Department of Architecture continued the construction, which was completed at the end of April. 193 1.
