Central Asia is the central part of Asia, and the narrow sense of Central Asian countries includes Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. The geographical concept of "Central Asia" is not uniform among scholars. Most of the residents in this area are Turkic, so Central Asia is also called Turkistan.
