Time magazine of the United States selected the top 20 greatest historical figures in the world (selected by all figures in all human periods), and China has three people on the list:

The 20th place is gaius Julius Caesar Augustus (63- 14). Formerly known as Octavian, Caesar's nephew and adopted son, the founder of the Roman Empire and the founder of the head of state system. Octavian ruled Rome for 43 years, which brought two centuries of peace and prosperity to the Roman world. After Octavian died in 14, the Senate decided to list him among the "gods".

19 is Copernicus (1473- 1543). Polish astronomer, the author of "On the Operation of Celestial Bodies" and the initiator of "Heliocentrism", his theory dealt a heavy blow to the geocentric theory of the medieval church, which was a revolutionary theory of human understanding of the universe, and profoundly changed people's whole world outlook.

18 is Confucius (55 BC1-479 BC). China was a great educator, thinker, social activist and founder of Confucian culture in the Spring and Autumn Period. The number 17 is Constantine I (272-337). Constantine, the founder of the Roman Empire, was also the first Roman emperor to believe in Christianity. He was in office from 306 to 337. 16 is Charles Darwin (1809- 1892). 14 This number is George Washington (1732- 1799). The leader of the American independence movement, the founder of the United States of America, 1789- 1797 served as the first president of the United States, setting a precedent of not seeking re-election after two terms. Washington played the most important role in the war of independence and the founding of the country, so it was honored as the "father of the country".

13 is Muhammad (about 570-632), an Arab politician and a prophet of Islam. He is recognized by Muslims as the last messenger sent by God to the world, and is called "Mu Sheng".

12 is Julius Caesar (102-44 years ago). The founder of the Roman Empire was regarded by some historians as the uncrowned king of the Roman Empire and was called Julius Caesar. Some historians even regard him as the first emperor of the Roman Empire, and the day when he became a lifelong dictator was the birth day of the Roman Empire. As far as influence is concerned, the Roman monarch took his name "Caesar" as the title of emperor, and the emperors of the German Empire and the Russian Empire also took "Caesar" as the title of emperor.

The sixth place is Thomas Jefferson (1743- 1826). The father of the United States, the main drafter of the Declaration of Independence, 180 1- 1809 served as the third president of the United States. The fourth is Aristotle (384- 322 BC). A student of Plato, an ancient Greek philosopher, and a teacher of Alexander the Great. As an encyclopedic scientist, Aristotle's research covers almost all fields such as theology, politics, economics, law, ethics, metaphysics, psychology, rhetoric, natural science, education and poetry. He is a master of Greek philosophy and one of the greatest philosophers, scientists and educators in ancient world history.

The third is Socrates (469- 399 BC). The famous thinker, philosopher and educator in ancient Greece, together with Plato and Aristotle, are called "the three sages of ancient Greece" and are generally regarded as the founders of western philosophy by later generations.

The second place is nikola tesla (1856- 1943). Serbian-American inventors, physicists, mechanical engineers and electrical engineers are regarded as important promoters of power commercialization and are famous for designing modern communication systems. Some people say that he is the greatest genius scientist in human history, and his scientific creation is 300 years ahead of the same period.
