There are a lot of beeswax in those places in China.
There are three main producing areas of beeswax in China, Fushun, Liaoning, Xixia, Henan and Lijiang, Yunnan. However, although China produces beeswax, the situation is not optimistic:

1, Fushun amber in Liaoning is the most famous.

Fushun amber coexisting with coal is mainly produced in Fushun West Open-pit Mine, the largest open-pit coal mine in the world. It is deposited in coal seams and coal gangue on the roof of coal seams. Its color is oily and changeable, delicate and fragrant. It is a precious and rare gem in China, which is world-famous.

Fushun is not only famous for amber, but also the amber carving technology is one of the best. Its snuff bottle amber painting is a must, passed down for seven generations and has a long history. However, with a sigh, Fushun amber has dried up, and the ancient carving technology of Fushun amber has gradually disappeared.

2. The amber production in Yunnan is the least.

Yunnan, China, according to research, is the ancient amber producing area of China. Yongchang, Yunnan Province is only 130 kilometers away from the amber producing area in Myanmar, but the output is not large, and it was exhausted as early as the Ming Dynasty. Of course, some researchers believe that Yunnan Yongchang amber recorded in the literature is actually Burmese amber, which originated in China and ancient China.

At present, amber is still produced in Lijiang, Baoshan, Ailaoshan and other places in Yunnan, mainly in tertiary coal seams. Its color is mostly waxy yellow, translucent and small, with a diameter of 1~4 cm. The output is very small and there is no large-scale mining, so few people pay attention to it, let alone popularize it.

3. Amber in Xixia, Henan Province has many medicinal values.

Amber in Xixia, Henan Province is very old, produced in Cretaceous strata, 654.38 billion years ago. Amber is produced in the form of tumors and nests, with different sizes. Amber is as big as an egg and as small as a grain of rice. The locals call it "bean woman".

Xixia amber, mostly containing sandstone, calcite and timely inclusions, is yellow, brownish yellow and black in color, translucent to opaque, and occasionally insect inclusions can be seen inside. The texture is loose and fragile, and it is easy to break into small pieces after being unearthed. It is not suitable for making gems and can only be used as medicine. What a pity!
