What is the meaning of fixed assets legacy data transmission in SAP?
The transmission of fixed assets legacy data in SAP is an action when the system is online, that is, the fixed assets data in manual accounts or other software are imported or transmitted to SAP.

The transmission of legacy data of fixed assets is divided into two steps: importing fixed assets cards (with historical value) and importing fixed assets account balances.

As a part of financial module, the import result of fixed assets module requires the balance of fixed assets module to be consistent with that of general ledger module, so as to be imported correctly. If only asset cards with historical value are imported, the general ledger account balance will not be updated automatically.

Usually, the import of fixed asset cards distinguishes between the current annual purchase and the previous annual purchase, because the screen formats of these two types of assets are different when recording LSMW. Of course, you can also use the LSMW fixed assets import program provided by the system, which does not need to distinguish the purchase year of fixed assets.
