Tangjiang Town, located in the middle of Nankang District, Ganzhou City, is adjacent to Fenggang Town and Sanjiang Township in the east; Nanlian Taiwo Township; West of Longhua Township; The north is connected with Shibatang Township. The town has jurisdiction over 30 villagers' committees and 3 residents' committees, with a total population of 97,000 and a total area of 96 square kilometers. The total cultivated land area is 39,776 mu, including 25,862 mu of paddy field and 0/39/0/4 mu of dry land. The town government is located in Tangnan Village, which is 16 km away from the urban area and 2 1 km away from the urban area of Ganzhou. Tangjiang has a long history and prosperous trade. The people are known as "Tangjiangtou and Eryingqian" and enjoy the reputation of "Small Ganzhou". It is one of the four famous historical towns in Jiangxi Province, a pilot town for comprehensive reform of small town construction in Jiangxi Province, a key town for small town construction in China, and one of the key cities in Ganzhou. 1March, 1995 and1August, 1997, Tangjiang Town was successively listed as "the national pilot town for small town construction" and "the pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns in Jiangxi Province".
