In Yang Jiajiang in the Song Dynasty, it was known that the twelve widows of the Yang family made great contributions to the opening of the port in the Song Dynasty. Which twelve widows are they?
The "Twelve Widows Urging the West" often mentioned in storytelling is a classic fragment. There are different opinions about Twelve Widows, because different storytelling factions have different characters.

The Investigation of Twelve Widows edited by Hao and Hao was published by Henan People's Publishing House. The twelve widows in the book are She Taijun, Dalang's wife Zhang Jinding, Erlang's wife Li Cuiping, Saburo's wife Zhu Yumei, Shiro's wife Lin Sumei, Goro's wife Masai Ying, Goro's wife Wang Lanying, air billow's wife Du Jine, Goro's wife Zhou Rongshu, Yang Zongbao's wife Mu Guiying and Yang Zongying's wife Jiang Cuiping.

In the novel Yangjiafu in the Ming Dynasty, there are: Mrs. Zhou, the wife of Dalang, Geng Jinhua, Dong Yuee and Zou, the wife of Liulang, Huang Qiongnv and Chongyang NV, and Masai Ying, the wife of Balang. Later comments and drums were: Zhang Jinding, Jiro's wife, Saburo's wife Zhu Yuemei (or Jade), Shiro's wife (or Lin), Shiro's wife Masai Hua (or Ma), Shiro's wife Chai Meihe, and Shiro's wife Du Jine (in Peking Opera, some are called Du Yu 'e; Also known as Hu Yan), Balang's wife Zhou (or Ban Xiuying), and eight sisters, nine sisters, and others. In the Peking Opera "Yanmenguan", Shiro took the pseudonym of Mu Yi and married Princess Lian Bi (called Princess Iron Mirror in Shiro's visiting mother); Balang changed her name to Wang Situ and married Princess Violet.

In the traditional Yang Jiajiang storytelling, Yang Jiye gave birth to seven sons and two daughters, and received a son, namely Dalang Yang Yanping, with his wife Zhang Jinding; Jiro general Yang Dingyan, with his wife Li Cuiping; Saburo Taiyang Yanguang, with his wife Xie Yu (some books say that Zhu Yuemei or flowers are like jade); Shiro Yang Yanhui, with his wife Yun Cui Ying (there is a book called Lin Sumei); Goro Yang Yande, with his wife Luo Saiying (there is a book called Roche Daughter or Rogue); Liu Lang Yang Zhaoyan, wife Chai Mei (namely Chai Jun), broadsword Wang Lanying (also known as Wang Huainv); Air billow Yang Yansi, with his wife Du Jine; Balang Yang Yanshun, with his wife (there is a book called Zhou); Eight elder sisters Yang Yanqi; Jiumei Yang.

It is a rare story in Yang Jiajiang's traditional storytelling that She Taijun led a female general of Yangmen to war. The above-mentioned "Twelve Widows Journey to the West" performed by Hao described this story. She Taijun and his eight daughters-in-law (in fact, they should be thirteen widows, because Chai Jun is not a military commander, so they are listed at the end), plus his wife Mu, and (Liu Lanfang's was killed in the Tianmen Array, which conflicts with this book), and Yang Zongmian's wife Jiao Yueniang are collectively called twelve widows. Besides the twelve widows, there will be eight sisters and nine sisters (because their lifelong marriage can't be counted as widows) and Yang Paifeng, the girl who burns the fire.
