According to the hillock map above Jiading County, after several changes, the ancient coastline has been stable in the line from northwest to southeast for a long time. Since ancient times, people usually call it "gang" or "gang belt" The outer edge of this gang starts from Loutang in the north, passes through Jiading City and Nanxiang, crosses Wusong River, passes through Zhuzhai in Minhang District, Yujiatang and Xinshi in Fengxian District, and reaches Zhelin in the south. It is 130 km long, about 4 to 10 km wide and about 4 meters above sea level. According to archaeological excavations, Loutang, Jiading and Nanxiang can be identified as the eastern edge of Shen Gang, and there are five shell sand belts from east to west: Donggang, Cyclobalanopsis, Waigang, Shagang and Asagang. With the change of time and the frequent human activities, most of Shen Gang has become flat, and most of them only keep these place names with the word "bang". Today, there is only a mound called "Maanshan" in the north of Jiming Hall in Waigang, Jiading, which is the relic of Gangshan Belt, and people can vaguely see what Gangshan looked like in those days.

Jiading, who is over 800 years old, has experienced numerous vicissitudes. In fact, the history of Jiading can be traced back further-as early as thousands of years ago, it has become land. Our ancestor Mu Feng lived in this land wholeheartedly. It was not until December of the tenth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (12 18 1) that the county government was formally established.
