The history of Cardiff Castle
After the Norman conquest of England, they built castles, and later built numerous medieval fortifications and houses. This castle was once owned by many noble families until 1766, and it was passed on to the Bute family through marriage. The second generation Marquis of Bout family made Cardiff the largest coal export port in the world.

The history of Cardiff can be traced back to 2000 years ago. At that time, the Roman Empire conquered England and Wales across the English Channel and built military facilities at the site of Cardiff Castle. 400 years later, the empire was in civil strife and the Roman army withdrew from the British Isles. After that, Celts, Vikings, Normans and Anglo-Saxons came to the island, and Cardiff changed hands many times. During this period, Cardiff Castle has been playing an important role in military and politics from scratch. 130 years ago, a coal tycoon with the title of Marquis from Scotland bought the dilapidated Cardiff Castle and hired famous architects from Britain, Italy, the United States, Turkey and other places to start redecorating the Castle.
