Where was north shaolin in the Tang Dynasty, and where is it today?
1. The site of South Shaolin Temple is located in Jiulian Mountain Village, Xitianwei Town, Licheng District, Putian, about17km away from the urban area. There is a linquan courtyard in Jiulian Mountain, which was built in the first year of Chen Yongding in the Southern Dynasty (557) and Jiayou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1056- 1063). This temple has formed a strong martial arts style, and has become a martial arts activity center and a famous tourist attraction along the southeast coast of China.

Second, there are two North Shaolin temples, which Tong Chang often said:

1, North Shaolin Temple in Jixian County, Tianjin, formerly known as Faxing Temple, is located on the open hillside at the southern foot of Pandongshan Mountain in Jixian County, Tianjin. Founded in Wei and Jin Dynasties, it has a history of about 1500 years. It is the earliest Buddhist temple recorded in Ji County Records and the earliest temple in Tianjin. 1992, the existing Shanmenji, steles, ancient pagodas and cliff carvings in North Shaolin Temple were announced as Tianjin-level cultural relics protection units.

2. North Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan Province, located at the foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Songshan, which is15km northwest of Dengfeng City. Because the environment here is quiet and surrounded by forests, it is named "Shaolin Temple", which means "a temple hidden in the dense forest under Shaoshi Mountain". Founded in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Zen and Shaolin Wushu.
