Southern Tibet is the most dangerous one in the western region, and every inch of land is guarded by border guards with their own flesh and blood. Southern Tibet is located in the southern foothills of the Himalayas, Shannan region and Linzhi region in southeastern Tibet, and belongs to Tibet. Although it is China's inherent territory, it is mainly controlled by India.
It is also the border with the greatest friction between China and India. 1962, a border war broke out between China and India. China has won and recovered most of southern Tibet. However, due to various reasons, we took the initiative to withdraw, and India reoccupied the recovered areas.
There is a notorious "McMahon Line" in southern Tibet. With a stroke of a pen, the Englishman McMahon allocated about 90,000 square kilometers of territory in southern China to India.
At that time, the McMahon line was not marked with accurate place names, and even China, India and Britain did not know the specific location, but India took it seriously and occupied the McMahon line without a clear location. Until now, there is no clear national boundaries here.
There are no boundary pillars there, so India has been eyeing them. When you go to that place, you can't see the border warning sign "You have entered China", only a string of footprints of China border guards. For the sake of territorial security, they crossed the snowy mountains and overcame various difficulties. Everywhere they went, they unfurled the national flag and shouted "The place where we stood was China" to the camera.
