It is the largest and best-preserved former site of a comfort station in Asia and the only comfort station building recognized by living comfort women. After the renovation, it will be opened to the public as a branch of the memorial hall for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese invaders. 1 The exhibition hall of the former site of Nanjing Li Ji Lane Comfort Station was built by eight historical buildings during the Republic of China. It was originally built by Kuomintang Lieutenant General Yang Puqing at 1935 to 1937, and it was named "Puqingxin Village". After the Japanese army invaded Nanjing, it was transformed into "Dong Yun Comfort Station" and "Hometown Building Comfort Station", the only ones still alive.
