1965, Chongqing-Guiyang section of Sichuan-Guizhou Railway was put into operation, and Zunyi Locomotive Depot of Chengdu Railway Bureau was established. This is the second diesel locomotive depot in China after Beijing diesel locomotive depot. In the same year, the first batch of Dongfeng diesel locomotives were assigned as the locomotive route between Guiyang and Ganshui on Sichuan-Guizhou Railway. 1966, the Lanzhou-Urumqi Lanxin Railway was officially completed and opened to traffic, and the Liuyuan Locomotive Depot of Urumqi Railway Bureau (formerly the First Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Railways) was established at the same time, and a large number of Dongfeng diesel locomotives were allocated, which was mainly responsible for the traction of passenger and freight trains between Sandaogou-Liuyuan-Hami on Lanxin Railway, which was also the first diesel locomotive depot in northwest China. In the same year, the Guikun Railway connecting Guiyang and Kunming was completed and opened to traffic, and the Shuicheng Locomotive Depot of Chengdu Railway Bureau (later renamed Liupanshui Locomotive Depot) was established, and Dongfeng diesel locomotive was assigned to undertake the traction task of passenger and freight trains from Liupanshui to Xuanwei of Guikun Railway. At the same time, kunming railway administration Kunming Locomotive Depot also began to allocate Dongfeng and Dongfeng 2 locomotives.
1967, the Mawei Locomotive Depot of Liuzhou Railway Bureau began to equip Dongfeng locomotives and put them into use on the Guizhou-Guangxi Railway, which is famous for its steep slopes and sharp bends. Since then, the traction power of Guizhou-Guangxi railway has gradually changed to diesel locomotive, replacing the previously used Jiefang 1 steam locomotive. The number of locomotives in Mawei Locomotive Depot reached a historical peak at the beginning of 1973. In that year, there were as many as 128 Dongfeng locomotives in this section, and nearly half of them were later allocated to Jin Chengjiang Locomotive Depot established in the same year. From 65438 to 0969, Nenjiang-Jiagedaqi section of Nenlin Railway (now Fuxi Railway) built to develop forest resources in Daxing 'anling was completed and opened to traffic, Jiagedaqi locomotive depot of Qiqihar Railway Bureau was established, and Dongfeng diesel locomotive began to be attached. The following year, the Jiagedaqi-Zhang Ling section of Nenlin Railway was completed and opened to traffic, and the Tahe Locomotive Depot was established, which began to be classified as Dongfeng locomotive. 1970 Chengdu-Kunming section of chengdu-kunming railway was completed and opened to traffic. Kunming railway administration Guangtong Locomotive Depot, Chengdu Railway Bureau Emei Locomotive Depot and Chengdu Railway Bureau Xichang Locomotive Depot were established at the same time, and a large number of Dongfeng diesel locomotives were assigned to undertake the traction task of passenger and freight trains across chengdu-kunming railway. Since 1972, Dongfeng 3 passenger locomotives have been put into mass production and distributed to some passenger locomotives that are in urgent need. Changsha Locomotive Depot of Guangzhou Railway Bureau is the first locomotive depot with Dongfeng -3 locomotive, which is responsible for the traction of passenger trains between Chenzhou-Changsha-Yueyang of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, replacing the old Shengli -3 and Shengli -6 steam locomotives. 1973, Dongfeng 3 locomotive was assigned to Shanghai Locomotive Depot of Shanghai Railway Bureau to replace KF steam locomotive with service life of nearly 40 years, and was responsible for the traction of passenger trains between beijing-shanghai railway, Shanghai and Ningbengbu. In the same year, a large number of Dongfeng 3 locomotives were assigned to the southern section of Zhengzhou Locomotive Works of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau as passenger lines between Wuchang-Zhengzhou-Anyang of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Shaanxi (west of Sanmenxia)-Zhengzhou-Xuzhou-Bengbu of Longhai Railway, replacing the people-oriented and victory-oriented steam locomotives used in the past. At the same time, Shijiazhuang Locomotive Depot of Beijing Railway Bureau also began to assign Dongfeng 3 locomotives to undertake the passenger traction task between Beijing-Shijiazhuang-Anyang of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. In addition, Dongfeng -3 locomotive was also assigned to Guangzhou Locomotive Depot of Guangzhou Railway Bureau and Shenyang Locomotive Depot of Shenyang Railway Bureau, and put into use in guangzhou-shenzhen railway and Shenyang-Dalian Railway respectively.
1973, the Tongshudian Locomotive Depot of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau (later renamed as Xiangfan North Locomotive Depot) began to be equipped with Dongfeng locomotives, which were put into use in Handan Railway and Xiangyu Railway to replace FD and Qianfeng steam locomotives. In the same year, lanzhou railway administration Lanzhou West Locomotive Depot was placed under Dongfeng Locomotive, which was responsible for the traction of passenger and freight trains between Lanzhou and Gan Tang in baotou-lanzhou railway. 1974, Guiyang Locomotive Depot of Chengdu Railway Bureau was placed under Dongfeng Locomotive, and the transition from steam locomotive depot to diesel locomotive depot began. During the period of 1975, Liuzhou Locomotive Depot of Liuzhou Railway Bureau was assigned to Dongfeng Locomotive, which was responsible for the traction of passenger trains between Liuzhou and lengshuitan on Hunan-Guangxi Railway. 65438-0978, Dongfeng locomotive of Guiyang Locomotive Depot began to be put into use in Hunan-Guizhou Railway. Since1late 1970s, Dongfeng 3 locomotive has been replaced by passenger locomotive with better performance because of its low traction power. With Dongfanghong 3 diesel locomotive put into mass production, Shenyang Locomotive Depot gradually transferred all Dongfeng 3 locomotives. Dongfeng 3 locomotives of Shanghai Railway Bureau and Guangzhou Railway Bureau were gradually replaced by ND2 diesel locomotives imported from Romania. Since 1982, a large number of Beijing diesel locomotives have been hung in the southern section of Zhengzhou locomotive. In 65438+mid-1980s, these remaining Dongfeng -3 locomotives were successively transformed into Dongfeng -3 freight locomotives and put into use in various locomotive depots in southwest China to speed up the elimination of old steam locomotives. During the period of 1983, the Rongan Locomotive Depot of Liuzhou Railway Bureau was assigned with Dongfeng Locomotive, which was responsible for the traction of passenger and freight trains between Liuzhou-Rongan-Huaihua Station (Huaihua South) of Liu Zhi Railway. In the same year, some Dongfeng locomotives in Jiagedaqi and Tahe Locomotive Depot were transferred to Ituri River Locomotive Depot. 1985, the Jiulongpo Locomotive Depot of Chengdu Railway Bureau (later renamed Chongqing South Locomotive Depot) began to assign Dongfeng locomotives, replacing the advanced steam locomotives after liberation, and undertaking the passenger and cargo transportation tasks of 30,000 branch lines of Hunan-Chongqing Railway from Chongqing to Daxian, chengdu-chongqing railway-Chongqing to Neijiang, Sichuan-Guizhou Railway from Chongqing to Ganshui and Sanjiang to Wansheng.
1in the late 1980s, Dongfeng -3 passenger locomotives had disappeared from the locomotive sequence of China Railway, and most Dongfeng -3 locomotives were modified to be Dongfeng locomotives with the highest speed of 100 km/h, making the number of Dongfeng locomotives in the national railways reach the historical peak of 1990, 886. At the same time, the locomotive number was changed from "Dongfeng 3-0XXX" for passenger transport to "Dongfeng XXXX" for freight transport, and the Dongfeng locomotive with "passenger-to-cargo" mainly occupied the sections from "Dongfeng 18XX" to "Dongfeng 2 1XX", resulting in the confusion of locomotive numbers. From 65438 to the early 1990s, with the electrification transformation of Guikun, Xiang Qian, Sichuan, Guizhou and chengdu-kunming railway completed one after another, Dongfeng locomotives in southwest China gradually retired to the second line, and the main line traction was changed to the main line small operation or shunting task. During the period of 1994, the Guang 'an Locomotive Depot of Chengdu Railway Bureau was assigned to Dongfeng Locomotive, which was responsible for the freight train traction from Guang 'an to Chongqing West on Xiang-Yu Railway. In the same year, Neijiang Locomotive Depot was also transferred to Dongfeng Locomotive and served as shunting operation at Neijiang Station. In addition, in order to meet the demand of short-distance passenger transport, some railway bureaus have changed the gear ratio of some Dongfeng locomotives to passenger locomotives for traction of short-distance passenger cars and commuter cars. By the end of 1990, the only remaining Dongfeng locomotives were mainly used for shunting operation, and a few were still used for southwest railway trunk lines. For example, the passenger train of Xiangpu Railway was towed by Dongfeng locomotive in Chongqing South Locomotive Section until 1998 completed the electrification of the whole Xiangpu Railway.
From 1994 to 1995, Chengdu Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works successively renovated a batch of 10 old Dongfeng locomotives collected from Chengdu Railway Bureau and kunming railway administration. With the approval of the Ministry of Railways, the refurbished car number was changed to Dongfeng 220 1 ~ Dongfeng 22 10, of which 7 (22,065,438+) freight gear ratio locomotives were sold to factories and mines outside the road, and the No.2207 locomotive was used by Shenzhen Shao Feng Cement Company, and the whereabouts of the other 2207 and 2208 locomotives were unknown.
From 1995, Heihe Railway Group Company purchased the first batch of Dongfeng diesel locomotives and assigned them to Sunwu Locomotive Depot to undertake the traction task of passenger and freight trains on the North-Black Railway. By 1996, all the original steam locomotives were eliminated. In 2002, Dongfeng diesel locomotive was listed in the Catalogue of Eliminating Backward Production Capacity, Technology and Products (the third batch) by the State Economic and Trade Commission of China, and it is required to be eliminated as soon as possible. In 2003, Heihe local railway purchased Dongfeng 4B diesel locomotives and eliminated all Dongfeng locomotives. In the same year, Sanmao Railway Company introduced GK 1CB diesel locomotives, and all Dongfeng locomotives stopped production and were scrapped.
