Which two cities, Tengchong and Baoshan, Yunnan, are more suitable for living and providing for the aged?
Yunnan is a famous province in China. To say which city in Yunnan is the most famous, many people will say Dali and Lijiang. In fact, it is the same in China. On one occasion, the foreign language channel of CCTV once made a special topic about China tourism. As mentioned in the program, Tengchong is the most famous city in Yunnan abroad, not Lijiang in Dali. In fact, this still stems from that unforgettable history of World War II. The expeditionary force fought a bloody battle in Tengchong, making this border town famous all over the world.

Tengchong is a county-level city managed by Baoshan. In the past two years, it has developed in full swing in China, which is known as the most beautiful town in China. Now it is in full swing and has become the most sought-after livable place for the elderly in Yunnan after Dali and Xishuangbanna. At that time, all kinds of capital had swarmed in, and real estate predators also entered, and house prices soared, which had already overshadowed its owner Baoshan. In fact, Baoshan is also a good place in Yunnan. So where are Tengchong and Baoshan?

Baoshan is a frontier area with a long history and profound cultural accumulation in China. In the mid-Warring States period, Ailao State was established here. In 69 AD, Ailao returned to Han, and Yongchang County was established in Baoshan in the Eastern Han Dynasty, which was the second largest county in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Later, Baoshan occupied a very important position in the history of China, and it was not famous at home and abroad until modern War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in western Yunnan.

Tengchong was called Dianyue in the Western Han Dynasty, Yongchang County in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Jimi House in the Tang Dynasty and Tengchong House in Nanzhao. The geographical location here is very important. The important town of the ancient tea-horse road was heavily stationed in the past dynasties, and the stone city was built in the Ming Dynasty, which is called "the first city on the extreme side".

Why is modern Tengchong more famous than Baoshan? This stems from a line, namely Hu Huanyong line, also known as Heihe-Tengchong line.

Eighty years ago, Hu Huanyong, a geographer at that time, drew this line for the first time in a paper published in Geographic Magazine, and explained the difference between the two sides of this line. On the southeast side of the line, 96% of the national population lives in 36% of the national area; In the northwest, only 4% of the population lives on 64% of the land. One end of this line is Heihe River in Heilongjiang, and the other end is Tengchong in Yunnan.

The climate of Baoshan and Tengchong

When introducing the climate of Tengchong, many people always say that there is no cold in winter and no heat in summer. This sentence can be used to sum up all the places in Yunnan, and it will make you feel that there is nothing to say in the fog. To see the weather in a city, it must be based on historical records. I have studied the historical weather data of Tengchong and Baoshan, and there are obvious differences between them.

Baoshan City and Tengchong City are 140 kilometers apart, with similar altitudes. The elevation of Baoshan City is1650m, and that of Tengchong City is1600m.

In the coldest January in winter, Tengchong has a low temperature of 1-5 degrees and a high temperature of 15-20 degrees. In the same period, Baoshan has a low temperature of 4-9 and a high temperature of 16-2 1. In the hottest month of summer, Tengchong has low temperature 17- 18, high temperature 22-28, Baoshan has low temperature 20-2 1 and high temperature 20-29.

It can be seen that Baoshan and Tengchong are very cool in summer, with little difference, and both are very comfortable. The difference is that in winter, Tengchong has a large temperature difference and a low temperature, while Baoshan is relatively warm in winter. Judging from the humidity of the climate, Baoshan's climate is relatively dry, while Tengchong's climate is relatively humid. The temperature in Tengchong in winter is the same as that in Dali, but because of the humidity, the body feels a little chilly, and there is more rainfall in Tengchong in summer, so rheumatism patients should pay attention to the humidity here. Therefore, in terms of climate, it is more appropriate to describe Baoshan with "Wen Run" and the title of "Spring City".

However, when I was supporting the elderly in Yunnan, I often emphasized that the climate is three-dimensional and changeable, and there will be many kinds of climates in the same place. The climate in Baoshan mentioned above only refers to Longyang District of Baoshan, which is the only urban area in Baoshan, but this area is not small. Try not to choose Lujiangba area, because it is one of the few typical subtropical dry-hot valleys in China, and it will be hot in summer.

Air quality and environment

The forest coverage rates in Baoshan and Tengchong are relatively high, with 73% in Tengchong and 66% in Baoshan, with good air quality. According to the air quality ranking of major counties and cities in Yunnan 126 yesterday (April 3), Baoshan ranked fifth, and Tengchong ranked 70th, but the air quality was also first-class quality, but the air quality coefficient was different.

Folk custom differences and cultural inheritance

There is a Gaoligong Mountain between Tengchong and Baoshan. The difference is not only climate, but also culture.

Looking up the county records of the two places, we can find that the immigrants in Baoshan mainly came from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui in the early Ming Dynasty, while the immigrants in Tengchong came from Sichuan in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, with obvious differences in accents. Baoshan dialect is similar to Jianghuai dialect, while Tengchong dialect is similar to Sichuan dialect.

From the point of view of personality, Baoshan people are introverted and open-minded, happy-go-lucky, conservative, homesick and don't pay much attention to details. Tengchong, on the other hand, is capable, independent, aggressive, calculating and shrewd.

In terms of cultural inheritance, during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were many literati in Baoshan, and there were countless literati, even the Minister of Civil Affairs, the Minister of War, and the Governor of Zhejiang. It can be seen that Baoshan culture in this period was extremely prosperous. Baoshan, also known as Lancheng, has a long history of orchid culture. Now go is popular in Baoshan, and the culture of Yongzi has begun to revive.

During the Republic of China, a large number of talents began to appear in Tengchong, the most famous of which was the philosopher Ai Siqi. Tengchong also has a good inheritance in emphasizing education, reading and etiquette. During World War II, it was once the main battlefield of the blood infiltration of the expeditionary force. This is a place with strong feelings of home and country.

Attractions have their own merits.

When you go to Baoshan, don't forget to go to the Jade Emperor Pavilion in Longyang, the reclining Buddha Temple in Changning and Longtan Temple. Baoshan has a history, and there are also Baogai Mountains around Baoshan. You can go to Liyuan, Taibaoshan Forest Park, Beimiao Reservoir and other scenic spots. You can soak in hot springs in Jinji Ancient Town and watch the sunrise in Baoding Temple. It is more than 2700 meters above sea level, and you can enjoy snow here in winter. Baoshan also has Longling, Shidian and other anti-Japanese war sites, such as Huitong Bridge, Songshan Battle Site and the former site of Yunnan-Myanmar Highway, which are very worth seeing.

The scenery in Tengchong is even more colorful. There are hot springs, volcanic parks and ancient town culture. Beihai wetland, a fiery volcanic tourist area, has been upgraded to a national 5A scenic spot. Gaoligong Mountain is an explorer's paradise recognized by hikers at home and abroad. In autumn, there are Ginkgo Village, Yunfeng Temple, Laifeng Temple, Wenchang Palace, Wild Boar Qingqiao and China's unique laundry kiosk. Traveling on the Road is a very good classic.

Living facilities and house prices

My feeling is that the housing prices in Baoshan and Tengchong are not expensive, but they are moderate in Yunnan, but the difference in housing prices is not small. The house price index we are seeing now reflects the average price of Baoshan, more than 8,000 yuan/floating. In fact, the highest house price is nearly 1.7 million yuan, most of which is located in Tengchong. With Country Garden, Agile and other large real estate developers stationed in Tengchong, Tengchong's housing prices have soared in the past two years, slightly better.

How can the economic aggregate and consumption power of a county-level city drive the house price to rise so fast? In fact, it overdraws the future development space. The house price in Longyang District of Baoshan is relatively moderate and much cheaper. The population of Longyang District in Baoshan is close to one million, and the permanent population of Tengchong is about 700,000. Urban living facilities and infrastructure are similar. In terms of medical conditions, Longyang District is obviously better. There are two 3A hospitals, Baoshan People's Hospital and Baoshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, while Tengchong has only one original county people's hospital, and 20 19 has just been upgraded to Class III B. The pace of life in both cities is very slow and leisurely.

In terms of transportation, Baoshan and Tengchong are both located in the western border of Yunnan, and their geographical positions are not good. Fortunately, there is an airport. There are two airports in Baoshan. One is Baoshan Airport, which is located in the southern suburb of Baoshan City. The other airport is Tengchong (Hump) Airport in Tengchong County, located in Hump Village, Qingshui Township, about 10 km away from Tengchong County. There are flights to major cities in China.

As for the railway, many people now have strong expectations for the opening of the Darrouy Railway, which is one of the reasons for the soaring housing prices in Tengchong. The Dali-Ruili railway starts from Dali in the east and passes through Baoshan, Shidian, Longling and mangshi to Ruili, with a total length of about 330 kilometers and a design speed of 140 kilometers per hour. The Dali-Ruili railway will be shortened from seven or eight hours to three hours. It was originally expected to be completed around 2022. However, due to the complex geological conditions and difficult construction in Longling County, the current progress is slow, with a total of 30.

Baoshan and Tengchong seem far away. With the opening of the railway, they will be closer and closer to us. If you had to choose a place to live for the elderly, which one would you choose?

Welcome to the monsoon in Muztag. Let's go to see the world together.
