History of miss Asia competition
Approved by the International Tourism Culture Development Institute, Miss Asia was held for the first time 1985. Over the years, many talents have been discovered for the entertainment circle, including Li Yanshan, Wu, Wu, Chen Wei, but the influence of Miss Asia is always lower than that of Hong Kong sister held by TVB. The winners of the first five Miss Asia Champions and the 10th to 12th Miss Asia Champions have represented Hong Kong in the Miss Asia Pacific Competition. The best result of the competition is that Li Yanshan and Nina Li Chi won the fourth place. 1989 miss Asia champion Ewenki and 1990 miss Asia Elaine Eca Da Silva once represented hongkong in the miss world contest.

Miss Asia has repeatedly introduced distinctive elements, such as not limiting the age of candidates, which has become a topic in Hong Kong. Gong, who is only 15 and only 47 years old, took part in the Miss Asia beauty contest held in June. The two contestants set the youngest and biggest record in the history of TV beauty pageant. Daryna shevchenko (Kazak), who won the championship in 2006, is the youngest champion in the history of TV beauty pageant (16 years old) and the first non-Chinese beauty to be selected in the top three and win the championship.

Miss Asia was suspended in 2000 and then resumed in 2004. It is divided into Hongkong Division and Chinese mainland Division, and has added players from other Asian countries. In 2006, the Miss Asia Finals was held for the first time in Macau outside Hong Kong and in East Asia Sports Gymnasium.

In 2005, we cooperated with the Miss China Beauty Contest of Phoenix Satellite TV, and selected a representative from the Miss Asia Special Zone to participate in the Miss China Beauty Contest.

Since 2008, there have been no judges in the Miss Asia Finals. Everyone in the world voted for the first, second and third place through the Internet and SMS. To be fair, everyone can only vote once a day.

Since 2009, ATV has indicated that it coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC). Therefore, with the concept of "prosperous China", the participation of representatives from other Asian countries was cancelled.

From 20 10, ATV moved the finals to Chinese mainland for the first time, and the venue was Hefei.

From 20 1 1, ATV held the "Miss Asia Greater China Finals" for the first time, with beauties from Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China, Taiwan Province Province and overseas competing for ten seats in the "Miss Asia Finals" and competing with representatives from other Asian countries for the championship.
