A historical introduction to guanxian.
Guanxian was founded in the sixth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 586), and was named Guanshi County, which was named after the ancient name "Guanshi City".

During the Spring and Autumn Period, the governing city ruled today's Donggu Town.

There are two legends about the origin and meaning of Guanshi Town: First, during the Spring and Autumn Period, there was an official in the State of Jin who was responsible for designing and making crowns (hats). The crown he designed and produced is novel, quiet, beautiful and generous, and it is very fashionable to distinguish grades, wealth, status and grades. Therefore, he was favored by the marquis of Jin, and was given the surname of Feng Hou.

On the other hand, during the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a system in the State of Jin, that is, a military commander with meritorious military service was personally awarded a crown decorated with bird feathers by the Duke of Jin to show his meritorious service.

At that time, there was a military attache in China, who was resourceful, brave and good at fighting, and repeatedly made meritorious military service. The Duke of Jin was given the title of Guan, and later he was a civil servant, and he was named a city doctor. His fief was named Guancheng after his surname.

Whether the above two statements are true or not, it is more difficult to tell who is who without evidence.

According to China's Complete Collection of Surnames and China's Dictionary of Ancient and Modern Place Names, it is true that during the Spring and Autumn Period, rulers gave heroes surnames, doctors, officials and nobles took their positions or occupations as surnames, and fiefs took the names of the people who were sealed as fiefs.

Village names related to Confucius and his disciple ran yong: During the Spring and Autumn Period, Confucius and his disciples traveled around the world and came to guanxian to give lectures and preach, leaving many historical sites, including Ranzi's Tomb.

Ranzi Tomb is located in Ranzi Middle School, Gaowangduan Village, 9 kilometers northwest of guanxian.

Confucius got its name from the story that Confucius traveled around the world and stayed here.

Formerly known as Kong Shengcun, it was later simplified as Kong Village.

Mazhai, named after the legend that ran yong, a famous disciple of Confucius in the Spring and Autumn Period, rested his horse here for dinner when he traveled around the world.

The first name is Mazhan, and later the homonym is Mazhai.

Wanshan Township has villages such as Qianmagu, Houmagu and Dongmagu. It is said that ran yong was seriously ill and "numb" the whole country, so his first name was Numb Village, and later he was homophonic "Magu".

Wanshan Township has Qiantianping, Houtianping and Beitianping Village. According to legend, it was named after ran yong's "illness" when he traveled around the world, and the later homonym was "Tian Ping". Now the balance of the day before yesterday and the day after tomorrow is built.

There is a Gaowang section in Wanshan Township, which died because ran yong traveled around the world, hence the name "Five Sections". Later, the homonym was called Wang Duan, and because there were many high surnames in the village, it was named Gao Wangduan. Now it has expanded into several Wang Duan villages such as Gao, Wang, Ma, Huang and Nan.

There is Cui Wangduan in Wanshan Township: In the early Ming Dynasty, Cui moved to this village from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province. Because the village is close to the place where the famous disciple of Confucius, Ran Zhonggong, died of illness, it was imitated as "high death" and the village name was Cui Wangduan.

There is a dutiful son crying in Wanshan Township. It is said that after ran yong's death, all the mourners cried, hence the name "the dutiful son cried".

In the Ming Dynasty, it was renamed Xiaozibao, and now it is renamed Xiaoziku.

The name of the village related to Mencius: Xigu, Guancheng Town: One story tells that a prince in the Ming Dynasty cried when he was critically ill. Another story tells that ran yong traveled around the world and died of illness, and the people cried. The third story tells that Mencius passed by and the people listened. The sounds of "crying", "crying" and "carrying a pot" are similar, and the back edge is called Tigu, which is now extended to East Tigu and West Tigu.

There is Zhili Village in Guancheng Town, which was named Zhili Village because of Meng Zi's "Stopping a Car and Talking about Enlightenment". In the Qing Dynasty, it was named Zhili Village, which later evolved into Zhili Village.

Qian Zhangping, an old Xiaochun Pavilion in Qianzhangping Village, Zhuangyan Township, guanxian, was built by Zhang Pingzi in the Eastern Han Dynasty to commemorate Mencius' "wealth can't be lewd, poverty can't be moved, and powerful people can't bend"

Therefore, it was named Zhangpingzi Village, later simplified as Zhangping, and now extended to Zhangping before and after.

Dianzi Township was named after Mencius passing by, and thousands of people paid tribute to him.

First named "Thousand Stores", then homophonic called "Three Stores", then called Thousand Stores, and now simplified to one store.

Village names related to the Sun Bin Snake-shaped Eighteen Arrays: According to legend, Sun Bin and Pang Juan lived side by side on the border of Qi and Wei for more than a year, and the Battle of Maling was actually a battle.

In order to deal with the prosperous Wei Jun from afar, Sun Bin used his geographical advantage to make use of the "snake-shaped eighteen arrays".

These eighteen place names all exist today, belonging to the adjacent four districts of Shenxian, Yanggu, guanxian and Dongchangfu, but most of them changed the word "array" into the word "town" and became the first-class administrative division.

The eighteen arrays in those days were Zhangqiu Array (now Zhangqiu Town, yanggu county), Gushan Array (now Yanggu County) and Acheng Array (now Acheng Town, yanggu county). Some people say that it is Sun Bin's hometown) Seven-level Array (now yanggu county's Seven-level Town) Anle Array (now yanggu county's Anle Town) Ecstasy Array (now yanggu county's Dabu Township Small Labyrinth Village) Xiedian Array (now yanggu county's Xihu Township Xiedian Village) Dingshui Array (now yanggu county's Dingshui Town) Wuhai Array (now Dongchangfu District's Lihaiwu Town) Shajia Array (now Dongchangfu District's Shazhen) Yandian Array (now Shenxian County's Yandian Town) Liulin Array (now Liulin Town, guanxian) True and False Array (now Jiazhen Town, guanxian) In these eighteen arrays, Sun Bin is in charge of Yanggu Weird Array (there is still this village today, with a strange architectural composition, the original Sun Bin Temple, and the residents are all descendants of Sun Shi).
