First, the origin of the White Horse Temple The origin of the name of the White Horse Temple It is said that Emperor Hanming sent two of his hands down to Tianzhu to learn the scriptures, and then they carried a full number of scriptures on a white horse and brought back two eminent monks who were enlightened in Tianzhu. Emperor Han Ming was very happy to see them and received two Taoist priests with the most solemn etiquette. Later, during the reign of Kangxi, the emperor went to Baiyun Temple to look for this inkstone. Just change the name of Qingliu Temple to Baiyun Temple.
