Medog county (Tibetan:? People's Republic of China (PRC) (China) is a county under the jurisdiction of Linzhi City, Xizang Autonomous Region. "Medog" means "flower" in Tibetan. Located in the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, on the southern slopes of the East Himalayas and Gangrigabu Mountains, it is adjacent to Chayu County in the east, India in the south, Milin County, Zi Long County and Cuona County in the west, and bomi county and Bayi District in the north. 202 1, county population 14889, rural population 1 1, 57 1, and the residents are mainly Menba and Lhoba.
History of Medog County
The area around Medog was called Baimagang in ancient times. As early as the late Neolithic period, human beings flourished. In 6 18 AD, the Tubo army occupied Luo Yu. In 638 AD, after Tubo defeated Tuguhun, some residents moved to Luo Yu. /kloc-Before the 0/8th century, Medog was mainly the residence of the Barrow people. From the middle of17th century to the beginning of18th century, the Menba people began to move eastward from the gate corner and the protagonist to Medog. Generation 12 was the first to arrive, and generation 8 was the last to emigrate. In the 45th year of Qing Qianlong (1780), the 8th Dalai Lama urged Baijiacuo to send Gambuba, a Tibetan Lama from Dalagambu Temple in Tabu area, to preach in Baimagang and establish Renqingbeng Temple.
